'Casualties of War' and 'Platoon'. Both brilliant examples of films showing the horror of war in different ways that make a young man desensitized to the actions going on around him. This person needs to take a step back and realise what they are saying as there are so many counter arguments that make them come across as a complete idiot.
This film isn't Anti-American. It is anti-war. I wouldn't call myself the greatest supporter of the war in Iraq, however i do support the troops out there.

Ok (directed at the girl/guy at the start) when you're talking about what happens in Vietnam-why watch a film if you want to learn what happened. You read books. Watch documentaries. There are any number of better ways to learn about the My Lai massacre and atrocities. Oliver Stone was a Vietnam War Veteran. He didn't come out of that war having enjoyed what he did. He wasn't making out characters like 'Bunny' to be idolised and put up as heroes. He was showing them for what they were.
