I did this with my horse the other day. It just hapened when I played with him. It was amazing, he was totally focused on me and followed me like we were one. I am out of words! Only once in a lifetime!
I have not seen any other video. Body posture sure influence the horse. That shoulder in was like half a second long, don't you think? It might almost be thought of as the result of chance. But again, it is the first video I've seen. Congrats...AEE
Klaus holds clinics and workshops at Lyoe in Denmark. He is about to release the 2010 program on the hempfling-website, you can read more about his work there. People come from all over. Last time I was there people came Australia, Canada, USA and India... to name but a few of the countries represented.
Why not just look, feel and be aware ? Why analyse everything what's not suppose to be analysed ? Why wondering what other people will do with it ? Why not just accept it as your way of life ?
As far as the cowboys go...I have seen Parelli, Hunt, Lyons and some others; all have something to teach. I owe my belief in myself to Pat Parelli, who I saw the first time even before I knew I was about to be captured by a horse. It was because of what I learned from Pat, I was able to trail break my very green Arabian horse ALL BY MYSELF and I could barely ride! (Thank you very much.) I am indebted to all these and personal friends too, for what they gave me in my endeavor to train my horse.
Mine too! I watched his movie "Body Language" and I was INSTANTLY HOOKED. I read the book too, and it was so great!! I hope to move to Lyo after I graduate and learn from him directly.
Can't see what all the fuss about whether NH is great or not. There's only one way and that's your own and what type of relationship you want with your horse.
I suppose that's true...but a true horseperson will want the best for their horse as well, not just themselves. NH is all about what's best for the horse, not the human.
To those of you putting down other NH teaching methods. . . the thing is, how do hundreds of thousands of people LEARN what Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling does so that we too can do this with our horses? The other NH promoters (Parelli, Reis, Cox, Lyons, etc) have created a learning system that is helping average and less than average horse owners, simulate in even a basic way, better communication with their equine companions. Most horse owners have no "natural" ability. It must all be learned.
Maybe it is the other way around. Maybe each and every one of us are full of natural abilities - abilities that are lost when we (and our horses) adapt to the rules, guidelines and the unnatural living conditions of e.g. the average riding school or competition arena. And maybe -- from this perspective -- some of the popular methods doesn't taste so sweet because in truth no method or "easy fix" on the horses expense can ever really bridge the gap between the horse and his human.
About teaching programs not working and bridging the gap between horse and human must happen naturally. Do you not see the people I see with their horses? So-o-o many people I see have NO and I mean NO as in negative ability with their horses. It makes me want to cry to see them interact with their horses. The poor horse!!! But they still own a horse(s). I believe only clearly outlined teaching programs can help them. And for many, not even that helps. But it is hope.
I am not saying that bridging of the gap "must happen naturally". I'm simply suggesting that each and every one of us look for part of the solution within ourselves, believing that's an important place to look for it. Many of the teaching programs provide a set of superficial techniques that can easily be misused -- and if misused they are by far one of the most effective way to destroy the relationship between horse and human.
Hempfling also teaches. He has books that help you understand his way of thinking, he offers clinics, training sessions and DVDs like everyone else. The difference is his approach, and his final result. He's basically Nevzorov with a sense of humor, flexibility and no dogmatic rules and regulations. Have you read his book, "Dancing with Horses"? It was funny and informative, superbly written and very clear. I highly recommend it.
I must say that I am so happy to see this. I have not been impressed with the natural horsemanship that I have been seeing (parelli, etc). To me all of that seems to be trick and dumb games, but this is true communication and that is beautiful! I love it...I am sold.
Please note that NHE stands for Nevzorov Haute Ecole (NHE), and not Natural Horsemanship (NH). Please search my channel or YouTube for Nevzorov if you need a reference to the term NHE. :)
Mr. Hempfling himself says, "There are some people that should never be with a horse". Even Mr. Hempfling understands that some "lots" of people have no and/or less than zero ability with horses. But still, THEY HAVE HORSES!!! So NH teaching programs can help these people. All over the world. It takes videos, audios, books, clinics, etc. etc. for some to make even a miniscule improvement in their interactions with horses. Lets remember, all learning is good. Have some empathy.
not all learning is good, though. to me unlearning has been equally important. any kind of training method have the potential of being good or bad. it all depends on receiver. ps: it sounds like you mean sympathy, not empathy.
I am speechless - I mean - to me - this is the highest of the highest of comunication with a horse - this is it! Now all we need is an island to run around on and play with horses in the wild! I love that he doesn't have anyone out there throwing his name around that say they are "certified" Hempfling trainers - tee hee!!!
Perfection-oneness in motion, touching the very core of one's heart. His methods are unparalleled working on joy, playfullness and harmony only. Trully inspiring and unique...

But I'd have to admit, I'm just too lazy to work with my horses like that. I have a busy career! I guess that's why I had to sell my horses :(
