- Holy Arrow is also acting like a pistol and use as primary. It can use infinitely WITH MP recovery and MP Eater.

@Songspoint I made tactical combinations for attack and evade against one or two monsters. And of course to save up MP. Teleport for evade and Holy arrow for primary. It is really like a one on one battle like Bandits to Shadowers, as of using savage blow. Since it is Big bang, 360% damage on one monster... not bad for all! Angel's ray is use for battle against 3 or more.

are you serious?! max out magic guard! someone told me on the orbis voyage that magic guard is one of the most helpful skill as a mage (and i agree) he said that taking 10000 damage turns to 2000 damage to your hp, the others in mp. BUT STILL! you get the idea

Yeah, heal is always the best choice against a single undead monster.

It'll be much slower than Shining Ray if there were somehow 5+ Thanatos there, however.

HA is mutch more better then SR beceause SR is slower then HA and HA can you use to kill 1 monster.

at level 30 HA (on my level 90 priest) it always hit 3K+ and SR 2K+ max 4K (level 21 SR)

AND i never used Tele beceause for transport i use my hog, Tele is level 1, i only use tele to flash between monster or for training (but not mutch. you have to level ur priest how u like it, and i offered Tele for HA and im glad that i maxed HA

well, some monster's can't be healed and killed so u might need another attack but chances are you will be training on monsters that can be healed. Also, there is really nothing else to do with the 11 skill points left in 2nd job so you use them on HA

magic claw is 2 attacks of 40, maxed

takes 20 mp

80/20 is 4

holy arrow is 1 attak of 80, maxed

takes 24 mp

so 80/24 is 3.3

you would think clw is better, because it has more basic attack per mp....

there is a video of a guy attacking an unholy monster with magic claw, and misses 1 of every 2 hits, and does roughly 600-700 damage.

the holy arrow did 1600-1700 damage, and never missed.

1 in mp eater is fine but teleport is the 1 skill that you will ALWAYS use, as a cleric you should be healing 90% of the time and if you go solo there is a hell period that FORCES you to party, dont forget mp pots cost double hp pots.

All my 2nd job skills are maxed because I refused to get doom in 3rd job. However, my original 2nd job build was max all but 11 on arrow and 16 on mp eater or something like that.

@Songspoint This video was made before big bang. If whatever version you are playing has had the big bang patch then you won't be able to max holy arrow. You're best bet is to max everything else in 2nd job except holy arrow and leave it at 1. Then in third job you can max all 3rd job skill leaving doom at 1.

SR + Tele = Works.

Heal + Tele = Does not.

In terms of distance:

HA > SR > Heal.

That's what I think anyways, please prove me wrong if at all possible =)

In terms of raw damage shining ray is strongest.Heal is nice and faster but you'll be usually hunting in parties and heal damage is very unstable(also note you count as a heal target so max kill per heal is limited to 5).Holy arrow is really not worth the points,it's a linear and single target skill.

Actually Holy Arrow is quite useful until shining ray is maxed. Level 1 shining ray has 60 base attack and 15% mastery while maxed holy arrow have 80 base attack with 60% mastery. It also can reach much further distance than shining ray, it has better knock-back rate, it attacks faster and it can also be telecasted. But at 4th job its really gonna be useless since lvl 1 angel ray(4th job skill that simillar to holy arrow) has more base attack than holy arrow.

Lvls 70-120 = 151 Sp total earned

total all = 272 total earned

To Max 2nd job = 140 spent

3rd job max (leaving doom/door at 1) = 132 spent

140+132 = 272 total spent

The number one reason I never use mp pots while training is because of mp eater. This only applies to cleric/priest though.
