• Very impressive! Very smart dog!

  • How does she do it??????????

  • thats it

  • Im getting a 8 week old German Shepherd puppy of my own soon, Im 13, and as soon as i get her, Im going to start potty training, and regular Obedience training, Im going to ONLY use positive reinforcement, And by the way, You did a GREAT job!!! (: Love- Shannon Marie <3

  • my puppy wont train and im using the clicker !! ive tried everything to encourage him like different treats but nada.. how can i get him to concentrate?

  • Just got my very own 10 days ago. He was just 7 weeks when he came over. But in 2 days I had him paper potty trained. Amazing! Now after his first vaccination I'm taking him outside & he has figured that out too. Almost every 2 hrs to reinforce it. I have to hawk eye him though for literally any signs of sniffing indoors, so I know to take him out. Now he just tells me, because he loves to go outside.

    contd:

  • wow i LOVE your puppy!!! So well trained at so young! Didn't realize you could teach them that much, that soon! I have a 10 mo. old GSD mix that I just got a month ago, and she knows some commands but my main issue is getting her to pay attention to me no matter what, if she catches wind of other dogs or something she'd rather be doing, it's like i don't even exist!!!

  • 10 weeks old and already knows all the tricks, i'm amazed! smart puppy, and great teacher

  • Cute puppy!I'm getting a GSD in a couple of weeks and I training him for Dock Dogs

  • I'd be concerned about getting puppy to do those hind leg stands and all-fours jumps, esp in a breed with hip issues, at least till it was a year old.

  • nice job,he looks like a little monkey hahaha :D

  • Wow 10.5 weeks? Mines is about 8.5 weeks and he is way bigger. Is this normal? :(

  • @feezy243 Yeah it is tottly normal! It just means that your puppy came from a larger dad, or mom (: So you shoudnt be ashamed (: Be happy (: Don't worry, Be happy (: Im getting a GSD that's 8.5 weeks soon (: She is all black (: Wish you luck on training (:

  • "Thats It" and "Sit" sound too similar for the dog, thats why she might get confused when you tell her to sit.

  • o my god how do you do that im really a fan of german shepherds and of your videos

im having lots of trouble training my Belgian shepherd malinois she just dont listen she things im playing whit her and shes like always jumping or runing i have train all of my dogs like labrador and german shepherds an collie an they dont give this kind of problems like this one any advices please i will really need them coming from you

  • i think you do a great job! I live in Germany and we just got a GS puppy =] hes 9 weeks i hope he does half as good as Angie! I also wanted to know how you potty trained her and still have that beautiful carpet. I picked all my throw rugs up and missed one in my bedroom and he pooped on it. Hes having a hard time because he is on medicine that makes him have runny stools and he cant control them.

  • @cmcdancexo Hi, and thanks, I did write about how I house break a puppy... there are many way.. you can find that info on doggiedogblog under puppy training category.

  • wow great job i wish you coul;d train mine too,lol

  • Good job!

  • I hate feeding mine food from my hand he's bite my fingers so many times.

  • wow ure dog is so obediant

  • That's pretty cool! Anj (hope I spelled that right) obviously loves spending time with you. She looks very enthusiastic. ^-^ I think it's pretty cute how she doesn't sit all the way. I hope your bond grows stronger with you, you guys are very lucky to have eachother. :)

  • super !

  • nice how you can do that i got a 11 weeks old one. had it for 3 weeks now.i have tryed to make it sit but still not working its still pee and poo. can you help me please

  • Hi, try hand feeding your puppy and working with him that way. doggiedogblog . com under puppy training has step by step video.

  • @kycydsue how many weeks did you get to work with her by the age of 10.5weeks?

  • Puppies potty pretty routinely... the moment you get them up carry them to the door...set them down, open the door, say outside go potty, and walk outside with them, they will follow you, stay out till they go tell them go potty a few times, when they do, praise them and say thats it... in no time they will go to the door on their own... do this after each feeding and when they get up from a nap. Hope this helps. Mine are trained very fast.

  • for some reason the comp wont let me go to ur blog site. :(

  • ur puppy is just adoorrrable, I'm bringing my puppy home hopefully in a few days he's also 10..5 weeks old, i really want to start training him form the beginning, do u have any advice? any where u can refer me to? books anything :)? I'd be ever so grateful, thanku

  • cute little pippy

  • hii, very nice traing, i have a shephard whoes 8 weeks now, my first puppy. i trained him to sit, down, stay, and shake so far, but I still think im behind and that he should know more, what are you doing and how are you traing angi?? .

  • hi i have an american bulldog soon 6 month old..my question is will i be able to train her to be as good as your sheppard?? we train alot and even more now beacuse i thought it was to early when she was even smaller..but she know the basic like sit,lay down ect.. she is soo wild when we get outside.. another question.. will i be able to get her more focus at six month or should i have started even earlier?? i hope u reply thank you

  • dusty lee... no offence but ur weird...i mean c mon its natural...how can u put pressure onto the dogs hips?? ur dumb..

  • amazing how u got him to stand on his LEGS

  • Thats impressive, I am a German Shepherd owner

and i think obedience is vital, I do worry that you making your dog stand on its hind legs maybe putting pressure on its hips.

  • i agree with that too

  • wow good stuff, he's preety young and doing good. keep it up

  • well im trying to train my german shepherd

    but wow thats pretty sweet

  • very nice

  • also whats that treat u giving her/him? the name thanks

  • Hi, How fun to have a puppy. I don't use treats, I hand feed my puppies.. I am getting ready to start my own site.. not ready yet but do have a tiny clip how to start. videopetshow dot com let me know if you were able to see it there. Hope to start it first of year. Thanks

  • beautiful i have a 11 week old german shepherd puppy and i wish i could train her like u trained ur dog, i dont have much experiance with dogs

  • AWESOME

  • woow

    soo well behaved

    ♥

  • kangaroo/dog lol. dat was awesome. show us more videos of how u trained him to do things! plz!

  • Thanks, I have several video's of Anj up on my site starting at 7.5 wks old. Just click on my user name kycydsue to see them all.

  • did you take her to classes or did uyou do that all yourself

  • Thanks for the question... I did this pup all myself in puppy training as I had already been through puppy training with my dog Parker. So I knew what to do, already learned from my trainer. I continue to train with both dogs, it is fun and rewarding.

  • Smart dog. :]

  • what great progression! i watched the 7.5 week old video before this one and she has done so well since then! great training! beautiful pup :)

  • i have a question....dont u think she sits like a kangaroo?...she sits on her legs and not her butt...is there sumthing wrong with her hind legs?...no offence....its just sumthing i noticed!

I had GSD...he was trained exactly the same way....to all those who think this method doesnt work...u have to ween the dog away from the treats...as training ends they pretty much listen to just the command!!...my GSD was a trained watchdog...looooveee him!

  • yes she sits up like that...I think it is her high energy, personally. She will sit now..but if you want her to sit up.. she still does the same at a yr old now...or just stands upright. haha she is a hoot for sure.

  • How cute! My GSD is almost 6 months now, but I got her at 8 weeks and she grew like a weed. My previous GSD passed and we grieved a whole lot before we could get another one. This is about my 5th so far.

  • Well GSD's are our fav's also... enjoy your new pup. It is hard to loose them when they are old.. we have one 9 yrs old also...and my almost 2 year old male.

  • hahahah shes so adorable...she likes to stand a lot...wow...great training....10/10 excellent

  • ive just got an 9 8 and a half week old g shpehard and i am impressed on how calm you have trained your dog to be how did you calm him down ??

  • That dog's a kangaroo! My GOD!

  • all german shepherds are smart....unfortunatly(mispelled) i have two pitbulls one is 16 weeks and the other is 11 weeks (they know how to sit)lol

  • If your dogs never eat from a bowl...how they do they eat?

    Do you hand feed everyone?.

  • Hi, I hand feed my puppies till they are anywhere from 4 to 6 months old. Once I have them working for toys, I then start bowl feeding them.

  • how big is it now?

  • Anj is almost 10 months old now..60 lbs. She is about her adult height, but will start filling out more now.

  • wooow i wish i can train my puppy that well once i get him <3333 sooo cute!

  • nice video but it really did not teach me how too train my dog at all....like how to you teach him to do all that stuff...i try and try but nothing yet my dog is 8weeks old...and i have bin going at it for 2 weeks now every day for 15 to 20min as my vet told me...

  • Hi, if you check the video of her at 7.5 wks and read the questions and answers of posts it might help. I don't use treats.. I hand feed my pups and work with them then, my pups never ate from a bowl.

  • too cute n clever, she looks like a kangaroo sometimes.

  • very impressive!! Too cute too :o)

  • look in my favorites (for 14+)

its about animal abuse most pepol dont know about

very importent for animal lovers to see!!!

including german sheperd! fur and meat - watch so you will undrstand how to stop it !!!

  • She's making that dog work for the treats. GSDs feel fulfilled when they are working. They are a working breed. That puppy is getting a great mental workout in that excersise.

  • That is great !

How did you get your dog to keep full attention to you becuase most dogs usaully get distacted by the smallest things !

  • I measure out their food and hand feed them while I train no treats just dog food...there is always a jackpot with remainder of food after working in the beginning. They look forward to working and actually start doing everything they know before you ask haha they are fun.

  • isnt that rare that her ears are standing already @ 10.5 weeks?

  • No at that age they are up and down... they went lopsided after that, then back up...then one up one down hahaha both were up with Anj by 4 months never to come down again.

  • Excellent job. You make it look easy!!

  • what does GSD stand for?

and is there anything wrong with training with treats?

  • GSD (German Shepherd Dog) Training with treats are used by many and work well. I don't like to get in the habit of treats, I move from food to toys. I use dog food and train when it is time to eat...it is just my prefernce....works great, most treats have food coloring and sugars in them that I don't like to give my dogs is all.

  • thanks

  • I love this, positive methods and the pup just adores her handler. I wish more dog owners would realise this.

  • great job

  • Ok so i have a 11 week old GS puppy.I've only had him for a month, but i've been working on training him. He's leared the Commands Sit and Down but he gets very distracted and it's hard to teach him anything else! how do you get the undivided attenion of that pup?

  • I hand feed only the pup. I measure out their food, and I hand feed while training. That is the only time I work and train a pup, is at feeding times...they don't get treats, just the puppy food.

  • Nice working puppy! Happy with great eye contact! This should be a very competitive obedience dog! Congrats and Happy Holidays

  • yea

  • looks like a kangaroo with those hunchy legs

  • wow, amazing.

  • This is amazing for a pup of this age! Great job.
