@LoDork Dude, it's not easy, but I've achieved the kind of thing you're going for before. Your best bet is to write an arrangement for a small ensemble and have rehearsals outside of class. Me and my bestfriend used to play this game all the time. We'd actually beat it multiple times. We had many inside jokes from it and found it awesome. 3 years ago. He.. He had to move out of the country. I lost all contact with him. I miss him. This song makes me tear up the most, second is the neverhood theme. I miss my childhood.

The game was creepy as hell and it had very meaningful message and many many symbols. Too bad the ending was happy and anti-climatic :( I didn't manage to finish this game till now (when I turned 19 :D) and it spoiled the ending which I imagined as a kid : sad , complex and very subtle - giving a lot of afterthoughts - kinda like catharsis after book ( pity I don't really have catharsis anymore : ( )

to be honest, isn't it for the best that this game had a happy ending? it juxtaposed the creepy somewhat depressing isolated mood quite nicely. It would just be unsatisfying if the game had a sad ending.

@areusirius They are making a stop-motion film of The Neverhood. It will be directed by the game's creator (who is primarily an animator anyway). They say the release is 2011, but given the lack of details, I'm guessing it could be later.

But it has a good chance at being the first good video game to film adaptation ever.
