I've moved pianos for 20 years. Some comments good and bad. First, it's nice to see one man being able to move this. It makes sense for a fancy hotel that frequently moves the piano around the buildings. I like the tilting and stand up part. That's really cool. Some challenges I see are the things like how wide it is. That will not fit through a standard 36 inch door. Also, with the tires, it will not go up stairs that have a sharp 90 degree turn. The tires would likely slip in the rain.
a. pay two men $100 a day plus tips x 200 days = 40,000
b. pay one man 100 a day plus tips x 200 days = 20,000 +20,000 for machine = 40,000 + repairs maintenance
but this machine will take longer and more set up of ramps etc.also this machine will not make a 90 degree turn in a stairwell. and what if it breaks down halfway up the stairs and youre there by yourself?
It costs around 21,000 euros which you obviously need to convert to dollars, then add shipping, boxing costs and local use taxes. The 21k euros buy a basic setup to move a grand piano. There are higher costs to buy the needed tools to move uprights.
Although I not a mover now, I was for many years. I like this system. But, there are some moves that simply must be done by a crane and or 4 wheelers.
Bravo! I am very impressed. I would like to see it from beginning to end without breaks, but WOW! Very cool. Where on earth could a company get one of those? Anyone have a clue?
How long did that take you? I move pianos in Los Angeles CA,USA.. we do 20 to 26 stops a day.. that looks to slow for me.give you props the one man mover thing...
