  • I bet Allan would of dropped that if he didn't have that mustache

  • Allan border is a true legend.

  • Haha, how can you play at that level at not be able to move your feet when cover driving?

  • @Adz2631 haha, so crap he was on 108

  • what a shit shot. The negatives should be burned.

To all children watching, that is not how you play a cover drive.

  • shit he just caught third slip from 2nd

    superman skills

  • Dude with the flag obviously liked it.

  • A rare highlight in a dark period for Aussie cricket. I hope we dont go to those days again.

  • i hope it gets a bit more darker for the aussies

fuck watsons attitude, Lees attitude, pontings a conniving whinger who uses stalling tactics and crappy sportsmanship to slow game, take concentration away ie, the last tests, new ball, 5 overs or so old, Windies are getting the eyes in, starting to hit the ball, PONTING:: "oh can we have a look at this NEW ball? its all out of shape" how? its new?

  • screw johnsons attitude,

basically, its boring. i like aussies winning other things, but not cricket. too much attitude, and its usually a no contest. good skills FOR SURE

but too much attitude and its boring seeing the aussies just walking it through all the time

  • what a catch!

  • Alan Border is a dead set legend... He is still Australia's finest captain... We need a captain like him now...

  • yeah rather than a 4ft8 trannie lover

  • Granddad just loved that catch. never seen the chair fly back in excitement

  • The batsman in the clip is John F. Reid of New Zealand. He and Martin Crowe had just put on a 224-run partnership, Allan Border had just got rid of his third slip and would have felt terrible if the ball had gone through the gap.

The old guy with the flag was called Happy Jack. He turned up to every match at the Gabba completely tanked and cheered on Queensland and Australia. I assume he died sometime in the 90s.

  • @inxia38 Was John Reid's cousin playing in this match?

  • @IanGorton John Reid's cousin, Bruce Reid, made his debut for Australia the following month against India in Adelaide. John and Bruce first played against each other in an ODI in Melbourne in January 1986.

  • the great A R Border legend,

think that was Chris Broad of pommy land border caught out

  • dave gilbert!!!!!!!!!!!

  • apparntly this guy held on to evrything. i was in the library today and just looking at a facts book where they showd a pic of him dropping one (1989) but the caption sed it was extrmely rare for this guy to drop catches. nice reflexes

  • that is stilll .WOW

  • brilliant. and worth every second to see the old dude dancing with the flag again.
