Hey king, stop trolling, even if you are good at the game, it give you no write to insult other people or claim they are idiots, that guy could be the next Einstein you don't know one way or the other... I take all this back if you actually know the guy personally
@mrgamerman1010 He doesn't. I honestly don't know what's up his butt. It's just game of monopoly. I've seen halo players go crazy at ppl that can't play Halo, MW fanatics but this is by far the stupidest thing to complain about. He can keep his expert skills or what have you. I'm gonna go play this game called "Life"
US Edition or not this is so wrong. There are no tips to win at a game that requires a large amount of luck. It is deals that require knowledge and that knowledge is relative to what's happening on the board. One game I played a player was in the worst predicament but he rolled onto every space save for property so at most he only owed for Luxary and Income tax. and the only thing he owned were railroad...
@Monty2289 You are pretty thick my friend. Yes luck plays a major role, but there are sure as shit strategies. Why do you think it is some players will win 99/100 games and others (presumably you) lose every time. Once you break it down, and don't stress your little brain people have already done it for you, there is statistical evidence pointing towards particular strategies and CHANCE happenings. If you don't strategize, you don't win. You are probably the dimwit with utilities...
@kingamonggoats Oh my god who the hell cares. I was just stating an opinion. Nothing more nothing less. Don't insult someone like you're a master at game so STFU and just leave your concensus of the video. I'd rather be bad at this game and go on about my business. Than be a big baby who is good at it and feels the right to complain to people who finds some fault in it. Simply...take a chill pill sir.
These advice are so fucking wrong. What idiot made this? Red area is so much better then the yellow, and should defiantly be what you go for. I agree with the tip on th orange but railroads and utilities are trade material, so of course its good to pick up.
I completely Disagree with the stations rules. Having all 4 is amazing. Constant flow of income throughout the game from all players. Once won a game selling all my properties to get 4 stations which eventually got me enough money to buy sites of people who were struggling.
rule #2 is wrong. Getting all 4 stations is a good idea. Because it's the only set of property where every single throw you have the potential of getting landed on.
Rail roads and oranges and maby reds if you can. With 3 houses The best combo. Cos they are all in a line and hard to miss. Espeshaly when you just get out of jail. Boom always a winner. And don't bother with the purple/dark blue. They cost heaps to build on. And the chance of landing on one is super low. 2/40 chance. Bad odds man
What they say about stations is nonsense. If you own three or more of the stations (no less than that, and none of them mortgaged) you can get quite a steady income. If you're playing with two or three other people, you'll be getting 200 pounds/dollars every few turns.
Trafalgar square? Really? Damn it we don't change your board games. Illinois ave sounds much b... Oh who am I kidding trafalgar square is the most kickass property name ever.
What's the point in buying Trafalgar Square, if you don't want us to buy the red set? When other players would have to land on it 25 times to make profit on it.
That's one of the rare occasions when I've heard contradictory advice on Monopoly. Others said to avoid utilities but to buy stations because the rent from monopolised railways is a good steady income. I like to grab all the stations when I play but I don't buy utilities anymore.
I prefer to play by house rules. My house rules involve placing all taxes and chance/community chest deductions into a pile in the middle, which you get if you land on free parking, but ONLY if you correctly answer a random Trivial Pursuit question. By the time someone gets one correct, there's usually over a thousand dollars sitting there. That amount can change the entire direction of the game.
railroads and utililties should be bought all yellow , dark blue , red and orange if you can get all of these no way your losing espically if you have hotels, do wat ever u can to gain all of them
Eh no... The reds are way better than the yellows because the third red is the most landed on propertie. And railroads are quite good. Yes you should not give away any great properties for them but they are worth buying.
so ~ useful tips, they are. My bro watched this and spoke to me as if he knew everything about monopoly. Then, I kicked his ass again and earned $5, thanks to u.
Monopoly is the worsti mindless board game i've ever played. no strategy, no complexity, no planning, just use ur common sense and that's about it for maximizing chance of winning. u can just roll a die once and decide who's winner cuzing roling a die pretty much sums up the play of monopoly.
1. well, if you Analise the board, and cards there are an equal chance of 7 squares of being "landed" on more then the others.
2. utilities yes, stations NO, stations hold a steady rent, theres 4 of them spread equally, there's cards that send you to them, so now you have not just 4 squares but 7.
3. well yeah thats obvious, but don't ever turn down any property in chance of gaining a better one. 4. durr, more properties the better, more houses the better.
@MrCerialKiller -- You're missing that she's saying "not following the rules" is better than "playing by the rules." You can't legally buy three houses on a property until you have two on each of the other properties. But the point is, save money until you can afford to go to 3 houses. One house isn't worth the cost/risk. Remember you get double rent with a complete color set and one house isn't much better than that. Same with two to a lesser extent.
2. Absolutely wrong. The Railroads and Utilities have the highest Return -on-Investments on the board. Both (and Reading) have their own Chance cards, and they really aren't that expensive, given that the third and fourth sides of the board have more expensive properties.
3. Makes sense, but Illinois is more landed on than Marvin Gardens.
4. I actually saw this rule. And it is a good strategy.
5. I also saw this rule as New York is the most versatile and pretty cheap.
rule number three you said that it's best to buy three houses as soon as possible even if it's just one property. But in the rules it says that you have to build the houses evenly.
But there is obviously an equivalent one on any monopoly board! It was red and the reds are the ones to the left of the free parking space! Just use common sense!
It should be Illionis Ave I believe if ut has a chance card there . By the origanal Monopoly rules you have to own a set of properties to get houses. The best set to own in a early to middle game is the 100 dollar block and the Gray block is cool in the beginning game and 3 houses are you best bet with spend to cost ratio in a middle game .
Actually, all four railroads is the most productive set of properties to have. You can expect to make your investment back in just a few turns. Having just one or two railroads isn't as useful, though you might buy one or two just to prevent another player from collecting three or all four.
Orange properties are the second-best set to have.
Three houses is the most cost-effective improvement to build on any property.
you can't improve railroads... in monopoly you don't necessarily play to win, you play so then everyone else loses... u just can't bankrupt people with railroads, but u can bankrupt people with hotelled oranges
That's true, but railroads are an effective way to make money if you can get them early in the game, and often another player who has all four railroads but nothing else can use them as a lifeline to hang on for much longer than they otherwise would.
yeah i had this really good stratedgey where i bought the yellows and the reds and put hotels on them. it worked really well for the first couple of games because you only play once every blue moon, then they started to catch on.

1.) Avoiding the railroads/stations is B.S. It never hurts to own 2 or more. Own 4 during a 4 player game, you have a chance to earn $400-800 quickly
2.) People tend to sleep on the Yellow and Green properties.
3.) When you start off, you have no control over what you land on, so why press over Red and Orange if you don't have it?

The statement about railroads being useless is undeniably incorrect. Always one throw away. They have 3 exclusive chance cards.
And about the always buy on the second set, it is proven that the red is better than the yellow because it gets more hits.
The "railroads are bad" and "always buy second" are unfortunate misconceptions.
