  • B. smithis never want to go back in! lol

  • Que funny voice over,

"But DAD! Its weekly promcoming!" (insert LSP voice)

"I said no! eat your bugs."

"What ever Dad, I'm busting this popsicle stand!" (Sneaks out like a boss)

    "Daughter, YOU ARE GROUNDED!"

(By the way most of that was with Lumpy Space Princess in mind)

Lolz she's beautiful, I'm glad you caught her and she was safely grounded for life, hahahaha.

  • reminds me of my smithi, octa

mines super playful unlike my goliath :/

  • This is just so darned cute.

  • this vid is so cute lol and the music goes well lol

  • She like you xD

  • I'd still hit it xD

  • Lmao she REFUSED to go back in there.

  • The Cricket "Man look at THIS! is this my new home? look at all this room!, all this space.. I could..... wait... who is that... oh Sh**"

  • xexexexe ... not beauty back to his palace where she was waiting for juicy treat ... will never I did not understand why people have a problem with the transfer of tarantulas from one to another terrarium, it just needs to gently and slowly brush the butt itself go ....:-))))

  • @MrPirana123 I'd like to see you try that with an ornamental!

  • bite bite bite, no teeth, :(.

  • To prawda że trudno nagrywa się pralką??

  • is she aggressive?

  • cool vid !!

ive not had any escape attempts by my L.parahybana or .G.rosea but im sure it will happen at some point !!

  • This particular breed have an almost psychic sense I swear. Twice I've lost B. Smithi's. One I managed to recapture (6 mos. later) and the other, sadly, was never found and could have fell victim to any other of the zoology in our home.

Make sure all enclosures are tight WITH lock mechanisms. Mine actually 'twisted' the catch of the loose 'lock' and was gone with the wind before I discovered it.

  • You have WAY more patience than I do...I would have had to (gently) pinch-grab her and place her back in!

  • she's probably thinking ...good now's my chance! MUAHAHAHHA!! So Long suckers im outta here! then ...should've thought of it thoroughly

  • That spider does not like that box

  • hahahahah totaly reminded me of my pink toe(unsexed but still call it a she) loves to crawl all around me x.x at first i thought they where escape attempts but i realized she wont go any where else just climbs around me till she gets bored xD

  • how old is she? :D

  • you're lucky she didn't fall off the shelf you had her on. That could have been bad.

  • i don't blame the T, if i was in that small container i wouldn't want to go back in either

  • nawww she loves you too much XD

  • Just GREAT this Story!!!! :D

  • no wonder it got out your a dum ass for leaving it open. You Retard

  • @jf42200 It is dumb, not dum. So before stating that someone else my be "dumb", or using a degrating word such as "retard", try to know the correct spelling of the word before trying to be the more intelligent authority. :)

  • @Suidakkra may be "dumb".;)

  • No, No, I don't wanna go back in there, I wanna stay on your hand, please! please!. Reminds me of my Red Leg I had years ago - she actually liked being held.

  • can i take care of a wild tarantula i find out infront of my house. or do i have to go buy one, which one should i buy and im kinda scared to pick on up

  • @TheHawk545

take a video of the tarantula that you have found

    what does it look like?

and where do you live so I can tell you if its an old or new world species

do you have any idea what T it may be?

  • THIS IS ADORABLE!!!

  • lol samuel just what I was thinking.

  • Funny & cute

  • the tub is too small for him it isnt tall enough

  • LOL ,

  • haha shes so cute

  • Lol, when you try to put him/her down she's like...

No! I don't want to! NO!! NOOOOOO!!!! DX

  • nice smithi

  • doesn't it call euathlus???

  • Erf, lol I'm doing the same thing with my Tailless Whip Scorpion, I try to get it back into the cage and it's always moving away lol...

    Nice vid btw =)

  • thats funny. cool spider

  • clearly if u have that much trouble returning your spider to ts habitat you need a bigger habitat.... like... thats your own fault dude... lol

  • YES, it's way too dry for the smithi. Moisture should be above 50% , more like 60% -just like all brachipelmas!

  • Epic choice of music! This video made me smile! I'm glad you got her back.

  • it's supposed to be that dry for a Smithi

they live in Mexico where there's virtually no rain so an overflowing water bowl is sufficient otherwise there should be no moisture or humidity in the tank

  • Isnt it too dry for such spider? I may be wrong cause I cant see it well but for me it seems that ground is really dry.

  • haha just like my one

  • "nooo, don't put me to the mean cricket!" i like how she refused to go back in her box. ;)

  • Hi Banana, that's is a very cute smithi you've got! I liked how gently you handled her. I'd like to warn you, though, people who do not have your level of experience with T's might gather from this video that a tarantula can be happily kept in a small plastic container with no lid. Please add a note in the video about habitats.

  • thats a beuty :)

  • Tarantula : I'm sick of sitting in this cramped hole, I'm leaving :(

    2 minutes later

Tarantula : Put me down!! OMG!! Nooo!!! Leave me alone!!! Put me down!! Now!!

    *Lid Closes*

    Tarantula : Oh man.... :(

  • @samuelsn93 lol ahahahahahahah funny!!!

  • they dont bit humans?

  • they only bite humans, if they think they´re attacked.

  • I visited someone with a smithi and it seems like they're more likely to run than bite lol.

  • our school has one of those...its a bad tempered one..doesnt like anyone

  • she don´t wanna go home^^

my smithi always sits in her hole.. :(

  • like you uh?

    cute

he or she come every time back

  • goooooooood girl :D

  • yup that looks so so familier lol my rosey every time i go to feed her she goes for a walk n to b honest for a rosey she bluddy active lol but ya no wat the only time she is still is when she in my hand then she wont budge lol nice T by the way !!!

  • very cute :)

  • OMG CUTE!

  • i dont think your tarantula likes its home lol

  • XD it likes you

  • thats really funny :)

  • same here he escaped but he jumped on me lol XD he iddint run away :)

  • smart spider:P

  • Very nice fowler How this happened I have Geniculate and I intend to buy a Smithi: P

  • that was good. that is why i never leav my cage open when i go get food for my mexican red knee tarantula.

  • smithi rlz XD

  • inverts arent like reptiles etc they just react so no amount of handling can tame them, they either tollerate it or they dont.

  • Comment removed

  • How did you make your spider so tame? I did some reading about spiders as pets and a lot of people say you can't make it tame. Did you had him/her sins (s)he was little?

  • You can't "tame" them. Some speciaes are just much more docile that others and therefore much easier to handle.

  • if you have a sling and hold her/him alot they will be use to handling more but if you get a larger juvy or mature one they wont be use to being handled!

  • come on you have to have a little fun every once an a while what i did with my dog was got him company another dog to play with

  • Haha she did not want to go back :P

  • hahaha thats funny i wish i had a smithi too^^

  • I have three hermit crabs and they are turned

like this spider. They like to be picked up and

petted. Once in a while one of them will come

to the end of their habitat close to me and rise

up as if they want out for a bit and I will open it

up and pick it up and pet it for a while and let

    it get exercise.

    methodistgirl

  • I laughed pretty hard at this. I could imagine hearing her go "kehehehe!" as she left. XD

  • This once happened to me too.

But I forgot to close the tank.

My smithi was out for a week...

My roommate left the house for a week then.

I found her at the window, in the sun :)

  • sunbathing!

  • This video is just awesome!!! Such a perfect song for your clip combined with funny comments... Can't stop watching it. Very nice smithi!!!

  • LOL if you didnt find her imagine in the night time next thing you know shes on your face. OMG

  • Hehehe, that happened to me and my rat once.

I never closed the cage, next thing I know someone's walking all over me at 5am.

  • just throw it in

  • what a beauty, you seem to have a good relationship hehe :)

  • Comment removed

  • ur situation is similar to mine :O but at the end my mother decided to let me have a spider but she doesnt want to even look at it coz its "omg hairy aaaaaa"

  • you are crazy man ^^

  • XD she doesn't want to play.. she just doesn't like her home XD

  • Aweh, what a koot little escape artist you've got yur hands on.

Many years of happy escapes to come man, hope she doesn't get herself into tooooo much trouble. xD

  • i'm so happy i got my B. smithi today as a BDay present...and i laugh my ass off cause she is doing she is doing the same as yous, she likes to get out and was giving me a hard time to ge5t back into her home

  • This happened to me once with my G.Rosea. I opened her tank and went to get a cricket from the other room, I come back and shes walking across the floor.. ;)

  • beautiful smithi,

how old is this B. smithi?

  • cool!!! spider

  • lol

  • <3 lovely smithi

  • Aww. Cuteness!

  • where can if find a goliath tarantula?

  • in south america.

  • om thanks.can you buy it?

  • yeah... you could by a sling for quite cheap. adults are a bit more expensive. but there are different types.

  • I have smithi female for 1 week. She is L13, and today she escaped. I was very scared, but after few seconds I calmed down and decided to put her back to terra. I didn't want to handle her, so I took brush and touched her leg. She turned back and ran to the wall of terra in 1 second! She was as fast as murinus or something like that. Finally with my help she went back to her home ;]. I was terrified. I didn't know that b. smithi are so fast! Now I'm afraid of her :D

  • This video is so cute. I wished you showed more

    with My Girl.

    methodistgirl

  • it is not good if they escape

  • lol wonderful

  • LMAO!!! That was great!! Thanks for sharing.

  • "Haha, you people are sooooo dummy." :DDDD

    Cute spider.

  • I would be like oh shit! and aren't they endangered?

  • Nope.. They are the most common tarantula.. well nxt to the G.rosea hahah.. Coz they're very docile and good for beginners but unlike the T.Blondi you cant capture them in the wild and take them home coz its illegal in mexico but you can breed'em.. =D

  • check CITES, the species is not allowed to be imported. G.Rosea however is, wich makes it a lot more common.

very funny vid, thanks for sharing. We all have our tarantula moments :).

  • As common as they are, it actually took me alot of work to order one. They are very popular.

  • Where abouts do you live? I'm in the UK and i'v wanted a Red knee for a very long time. But i can't find anywhere to get them from? please and thank you for help.

  • if you want a red knee visit pretty much any reptile shop they usuly sell them, if not try online, the most popular site here is "thespidershop,co,uk google it

  • this is bioshockfeind, I had to remake my profile because I couldn't log in.

  • Hehe, this is interesting. Once I had my smithi's vivarium open all day and night (it was too humid) and she only took a trip after a week(!). :D

Btw, man, how come you didn't just grab her between her 2nd and 3rd legs and put her back?

bioshockfeind: they generally are (mine is), but be careful. ;)

  • are red knees docile (handleable)?

  • They are quite docile, but they can shoot hair... I've also heard they can be a little unpredictable though

  • lmao i know she's like no0o0o0o0o0 i wanna play :) but really dude get a fish tank to put her in she's getting really big

  • God i love Mexican Red Knees. Theyve been my second favorite for as long as i can remember. Does anyone know a good place to get Theraphosa Blondis(Goliath Bird-eater)? I've been looking everywhere and i cant find one. Ive even bought a 60gallon tank for the beastie. I think T.blondis are beautiful just like B.Smithis.

Anyway, if someone could give me some info on where i could get a t.blondi id be grateful. thanks!

  • I don't think that Theraphosa Blondi spiders are for sale, and I don't think any other members of the genus are either. Go to south America and hope you can legally take one home.

  • a blondi u cant buy ??? here in our country u can order or buy them for 20 $ ;)

    b2t.. nice smithie,great video :)

my smithie is more agressiv :(

  • Thanks for the correction. I am slightly arachnophobic to all spiders except for tarantualas (don't know why), and brown recluses have six eyes.

  • B. smithi's are one of the sweetest, dispositioned tarantulas. I think mine is a male. His abdomen is more elongated and less round. He is my best spider so far. I hope to get my Oklahoma brown this week. When ever it comes in. Hope I get the call tomorrow, or tonight. I also have a small rose hair I got for half price at a going out of buisness sale. I wanted the little guy to have a home, so I adopted him. Your's is really cute and funny. Cool vid. :D

  • aww shes playfull :) mine is a bit too shes shy wen i take here out first then she opens up ,they should play together lol as long as they dont kill each other :o

  • lol a spider that wants 2 play?

  • awwe lol, its like " NOOO I HATE THAT PLACE"

    Rotfl

  • I'm getting a B. Smithi soon! Why do you keep such a large T. in such a small box? That Smithi looks like an adult, but that box is for a sling!

  • Haha Redknees do that sometimes XD

At least they're slow! I've had Cobalt Blues jump out of their cage and run around my messy room!

  • so cute! it's like "Oh fuck, not that crappy place again!" :P

  • I feel sorry for that spider, in such small cage. of course she dont wants to go in there lol.

  • Great spider, funny video :D

  • haha lol she's like I don't wanna go in :P

  • I have a Vagans, a smithi and two others there great, nice Colors on yours :P

  • Beatufil spider :)

I have Vagans, Albopilosum and lasiodora parahybana :)

    Nice

  • Aweeeee, It's soo cute.

I have an A. Avicularia, and I can't wait until I get my B. Smithi!

Yours seems pretty fun, heh, where did it go anyways? Chilling on the one of the table legs?

  • lol

  • she did not want to go in the cage.

  • ma girl

  • You're very lucky she didn't fall and slit her abdomen open. Otherwise that would have been an expensive loss.

  • who gives a shit about the price if you tarantula dies??? what kind of person are you???

  • First of all, you don't know me. Redknees are expensive and rare. Well I would certainly care if my $700 tarantula dies from falling. Im just glad he caught it.

  • i wouldnt really care about the price, just more about the life of this beutifull tarantula being saved, do you cry coz she cost was $700 or coz you spent 15 years with her?

  • I obviously care about the life of a spider. I mention cost, cause its not always easy to make money. I would love to get a p.metallica, but in the end its the cost. My entire collection alone is worth about $2000. You gotta anti up if want nice specimens.

  • fair enough, but i wouldnt complain about the cost if my $700 spider died, i have some, but i go out and hunt them, ive got an australian barking spiser, and a collection of huntsmans, i know there not tarantulas, but there big and live long

  • Collect some Phologius and selecosmia sp. They're tarantulas. You have advantage of collecting spiders. My country is far too cold to collect spiders, so I have no choice to buy them. I just picked up my order of 5 new specimens (most are highly venomous)

  • actually, the barking spider is the largest australian tarantula, and the huntsman is the only sub tarntula species in the world, there is no difference between them,a aboreal and a huntsman are the same thing, but for some stupid reason they wornt classified as tarantulas, WTF?!?

  • I know, we call those the Whistling spiders over here, because like the crawshayi and blondi they are capable of stridulation. My online dealer has those for sale, but I wasn't REALLY interested in brown Ts, not to insult you or anything. In my collection, I have too many brown, black and red tarantulas. My favourites are the brachys and recently the pokes. Come check my channel

  • yeah, ive looked at em all, like the new one brought in, all those babies, ive tried to breed, but youll read in my message it went horrably horrably wrong :'(

  • wow your such an a**hole i hope you get coated with napalm and burn a horrible painful death and your parents say "oh hes dead! oh well i don't give a sh*t he wasnt worth anything since he was born, well let the f*ckers corpse rot" but nice brachypelma by the way, mine is not yet matured =)

  • what, are'jew talkin to me?

  • There are spieces of tarantulas, that u can be paralised or sth like that after being bite. But Smithi has weak venm. As Random said - like bee.

  • Very true. Its the beautiful old world tarantulas that have the strongest venom.

  • No. They can't kill you. It's something like a bee sting.

  • what happens if you get bitten by any pet tarantula? can it be fatal?

  • You start swearing =D

Heh, just read some bite reports... The actual puncture is worse.

  • ugh cool pet but i could never have a pet spider. scare me.

  • try a lid lol

  • hehehehe:) cool spidey

  • No wonder she doesn't want to go back, that enclosure is small...

  • my mate panic'd and frew my red knee on my bed n now its stropy do you think ill b able to hold it again

    reply 2 me

  • do these types of spider bite?? I read that they have never been known to bite a human but they kick their hairs as defence

  • All tarantulas can bite. The Brachypelmas tend to be a calmer variety, but there's always a chance it could feel threatened enough to bite.

They do have urticating hairs, too, and the Brachypelmas have some of the most severe in terms of irritation.

  • lol sweet spider ^^ i love B. smithis

  • Zajebisty filmik. Przyjazny pajączek :D. Pozdro! :D

  • Im getting my spider soon... Yours seems SO friendly! Cheeky little bugger =P

  • How you pick that thing up, I don't know. I'd NEVER pick up a big fluffy spider!

  • they are actually not that scary to handle... just be nice to em and u usually dont get hurt

  • usually don't get hurt!!! stuff that, i'll stick to my parrot!! lol
