I bet this a refueling plane. They fly over this area all the time and you can really not hear them. The light you see fly away is probably the other plane and the big light is for the plane to refuel with.
I saw that i was at my buddys house on sensabaugh hollow it was one light traveling very fast and silent then all of the sudden it split in to two and both flew in a perfect straight line in opposite directions.
Lights are too bright to be a space station (unless it was reentering orbit!) I have seen something JUST like this the past 3 nights over part of west Knoxville! Tried to record a video of it but looked JUST like yours- shaky and unclear. It could be explained away as anything when looking at the video, but to see it in person is another story. It's just too smooth and quiet to be anything common. And it's far too close to be a star, planet, space station or other IFO.
I live in Kingsport and have seen the same phenomena your video shows. I disagree with taylortwonmayor because I too thought it could've been the ISS or passing satellites. After spending an entire summer researching these "mysterious" lights I came up with no logical explanation. My phenomena is different in that 2 things happen! First, I have seen up to 7 objects move in zig zag patterns at rapid speeds all within 5 mins of each other. Secondly, some of them pulse lights and there is no sound?
I live in kingsport and I swear I seen the same thing I was riding my dirt bike and I looked up and there was 3 lights just like those then I had my dad come look and when he came out the door the zoomed off WIERD.
Out of curiosity, have you ever flown them at night? I hear the ones from Bowser Ridge Model Airport all the time during the day (depending on the weather).
I actually had never thought of that as an explanation. Considering that some of the bigger planes reach altitudes high enough to be seen over the top of the ridge that Eastern Star Rd runs along, it makes perfect sense.
I fly there a lot, I also(as well as a few others) fly at night. Click on my channel and look at my videos to see my night flyer. It makes no noise and will fly much further/higher than I could ever see.
I remember that, come to find out it was a airliner on a landing approach in cloud cover. It had its fog light on that's located on the front trike stand of the aircraft.
that isnt an airplane.jets have several lights and they strobe.this is a solid light ,i think this dude may have something here, because it isnt a star.i know because iv,e been an astronomer for 15 years.i have a 35 inch reflector and 2 10 inch apo refractors, look at stars all the time and seen hundreds of jets and this is neither.
The thing you folks are missing because of the quality change of the video is..at the very first you will see another light beside it and it takes off really fast go back and use the pause to see it.
Where are you in Kingsport? I'm in Bloomingdale.. My daughter told me she saw something strange about a month or so ago from her room.. When did you film the video?
Holy crap. i live in bloomingdale/kingsport. and i saw something like this except it was a bigger light. and it just........disappeared. lol. i was looking out my window one night.
that looks like a satellite i see those all the time!

I live just across the state line in Nickelsville, Va and actually work in Kingsport.
I've got quite a few videos like yours, they're all of the International Space Station.
If you can tell the date and approximate time I'll bet you'll find an ISS pass occurred.

Probably either one of my electric powered rc airplanes, or a friend of mines. Equipped with led lights. You live close to Eastern Star Rd?
