  • hacienda ...and what a woman...CLASSIC TUNE FOR THOSE...1:13...but right from the start.....its a good clean piece of vinyl you have.....i have it on ultimate trax from back inn the day...what a rift.

  • @yagersecho

Vaughn Mason and his Raze outfit provided the goods for sure. So many people come in at their 'Break 4 Love' track but already in '86 they were hitting the spot. 'Jack The Groove', 'Get Down', 'Jack Up Work Your Body', and this track where all great examples of the House/Jersey sound from the era.

  • Death, taxes and real house music like this is the only certain things in my life. If you every get onto facebook come say hi and on classof88 page. props!

  • one of the first house tunes I was into - must have been late 1986 never bought it (not much money then and most of that unfortunately went on drink!) but bought Jack the Groove which I always preferred to the other English big early house pop hit of the time Steve Silk Hurley's Jack Your Body - especially loved the drums on Jack The Groove

Raze's 'jack The Groove' doesn't get the credit it deserves. There's a lot of interest in House music from the mid eighties just now but perhaps because it wasn't from Chicago it never really gets a mention. It was based on the bassline from Cymande's 'Bra' from the early 70's and was certainly a big track for me. 'Jack The Groove' had more of a House sound compared to most of Raze's later releases. A true classic.

  • very nice tune, thanks = )

  • @robbieroofinsulation

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. A great tune from the second half of '86.

Raze always provided club bangers with an uplifting feel about them.

  • @mushypeeps

  • @crieff1sand2s

Thanks for the thanks. Always a pleasure knowing my posts bring back happy memories.

  • one that pisses me off is am getting old and no one sims to remember hard tunes like thes man growing old not good

  • @MyPdiddy

My move to Sweden 10 years back means that most people in my age group have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention these tunes. Most don't even know what House Music is. Thank God for YouTube, at least I'm able to share and talk about about the good old days with people that have some idea about the music.
