I would love to build a classic Yanbarusen Sailboat this boat is a real piece of history. The Sails look to be a little on the short side for her weight but otherwise the hull is fantastic. I hope he sales the plans for this beautiful boat.

It's a beautiful boat but it looks like the sails are not fully rigged to sail or the crew was inexperienced at rigging junk sails properly. That one fault takes nothing away from a truely beautiful boat though. I wonder if the boatbuilder knows how to make yulohs, that would be a touch that would make the boat more authentic

@TheThabit (My dad built the boat in the video)

He had to build the boat from memory, took about 14 years on the 1st try, since there's no blue prints or anything. His dad in Okinawa built tiny versions of them before constructing them solely to make sure they float.

And my dad is really happy with the 1000s of views their videos got :3
