Hey I just thought I would let you know the reason that your root area and hair close to the scalp was dark then the ends is because color processes faster with a heat source and becomes darker or more vibrant. ( ; When you put your hair up on your head it acted liked a cap on your head and trapped your body heat in right at the root area and made it process faster. ( ; hope this helps!

Always 2oz of developer to 2oz of color so if you need to bottles of color you will use 4oz of developer. also if you are merely trying to deposit a color use a 10 volume developer. HOWEVER if you are going from dark to light there is a difference in developer strength

@janibuby the dye said what the ratio of dye to developer to use. I don't recall what the ratio was, but if your hair is as long as mine was then I definitely recommend 2 bottles of dye.

i dont know if your hair is still red, but a tip for red hair is to wash it in cold water. the color wont fade. and by the looks of it, you didnt use enough dye. id use some more. hope this helped!

I don't want this to come across wrong because the red hair is pretty... I have strawberry blonde hair naturally and i recently darkened it about 2 shades to a copper blonde. But I would prefer her blonde hair. The gold in the blonde accents her skintone better than the red that kind of makes her look sallow or washed out. Maybe just a little makeup would help. It was pretty just not really the best color for her skintone.

my hair dresser told me with red dye you should apply it to the roots last, or else that will happen - which I wasn't used to because red was a first for me. I just re-did my hair a week later and avoided the roots. It evened out really well.

I use a leave in conditioner, which helps make them look sleek instead of poofy, and I use a mousse which helps them retain their shape. And when I use hairspray or finishing spray I go for my TRESemme "frizz shield" finishing spray. What kind of hair routine are you currently using?

I think that pipl with beautiful faces like yours should have darker and stronger hair colors, so I think red is better for u. U look hot and your blue eyes are more focus. U look more delicate and hot with red. I have the same blond as u, but I always dye it darker, also used red shades. I love it.

I said this to someone else also, I have no clue, because both I and the girl who recommended it for me were blonde originally. You should ask a stylist, I mean I'm confident someone with brown hair can achieve a natural looking auburn, but I have no experience going from brown to red.

if the red is not natural there is no way to stop it from fading, over time the pigments loose their vibrancy.

not to the author brown wouldnt have really done anything to the red with would have still shone through. a green would have taken it to a brown colour.

before dying your hair next time you should probably get a porosity leveler like HKP it will help to get an even colour, also good for perming
