i just commented a nice comment on the 1st song off this album, but now im on the third song , im finding it a bit.... diluted but please let me explain why before you "flame" me lol

when i first got into this band, it was like a sledgehammer in the face... POW...lol and, no other band even came close for me, therefore i hold their work...95% of it in THE HIGHEST REGARD POSSIBLE, im very hard to please because im probably so opinionated, thats the ONLY reason i even came close to slating it

I don't mean any offence by this comment, but if you're like me and 100% in love with Doom Metal, nothing sounds "diluted". I can listen to MDB for 5 hours straight, and never get bored. They're just so fucking epic.

The songwriting and musical expertise they have is just absolutely incredible.

So yeah, as far as I'm concerned, as a devout Doom Metal fan, no band ever sounds diluted or boring or whatever. =]

Ah, you're missing the point. My dying bride never wanted to be similar to Metallica. Both Metallica and My dying bride are epic, great band but just completely different. It's not "can I slit my wrists" style, it's not emo. Emotional doesn't have to mean "emo", damn. It's a dramatic, deep and dazzling kind of album. If I started talking that Metallica is better or the other way round it would be the same as convincing people that meat tastes better than fish. It's just not much alike.

I like both Thrash and Doom, but i don't compare them, as they are completely different genres, only related by being metal. But you got a little bit far involving MCR, not only because they are mislabelled as "emo", but because they have nothing to do with Doom Metal, and yes they DO understand emotions. Nearly all of us here understand emotions. Unlike Justin Beaver, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha...

This album is okay. Nothing extravagant or amazing; just an average solid album. They didn't break any new grounds with it. I love the return of the violin though and I like the overall album. Heavier riffs and more growling is all this album needs.
