Thank you for sharing an excellent tutorial! Your hair looks great! I just tried the Eco Styler for the first time last week and I realize now that I should have sectioned my hair first. I really like the way it defined my curls and made them soft, however I ended up with a lot of stringy pieces. I'm going to give it another try and use your tips. Thanks!!!!

If you went under the dryer, it would have came out less weighed down and with more volume. Plus, your sections are still too big. Split what you did in half!

Does the eco styler have alcohol in it? I hate using gel unless I put it on my short strait hairs on my hairline . But I would like to use gel on my entire hair if it won't harm it.

I love the idea of a wash n go style, but I have three texture hair. Straighter in the front, curly in the back, thickest at the roots, so it can poof. Any suggestions???

How is this a tutorial? You're just spreading a bunch of ecostyler gel on your hair over some wack ass techno beats. You're not even talking or explaining anything (as if putting gel in your hair needs to be explained...it's pretty simple).

How do you keep so much length retention when your hair is wet?

Mine is about your length but as soon as it comes in contact with too much water it shrinks horribly. Like down to 3-4 inches of thick curly mess.

If you want fluffier hair, try your leave in with a lighter gel. Moptop fuzzy duck or the regular gel is great, john masters silk protein (if you can take the protein), or elasta qp feels like silk or sally's biotera gel which comes in a bottle that you pour out. Re: the biotera my hair looked and FELT great, nice volume but I had flakes for days. It's their damned curl cream.

It looks good. But I have a lot of hair now and when I use Eco it drips for hours. I can image when I get that much hair. Using Eco will drive me nuts. Thanks for sharing

I see that your hair is almost like mine. It's more wavy than curly. To get that big look you cannot use much gel at all. I use Eco but not as much as my other natural friends. Eco get actually straightens my hair if I use too much, but for my friends it makes it curly. To get the tamed big look I use moose, little little gel and instead of spraying with water I spray with noddle head curl reactivator. I'll try to send or post a pic somehow.

@sapphyre9 You know what's funny, last week I used my Denman to "smooth" my hair out a bit when it was soaked with condish, and it actually curled up; alot....I think I might be on to something....lol - I am going to experiment more soon, but it responded quite nicely...something I didn't expect.

Girl your tutorials are great! I keep a moisture solution in the fridge (leave in conditioner..water and a little bit of olive oil) On a lazy day.. I spray my hair with it .. add a little olive oil smooth-n-hold pudding..and go!
