  • Damn, Jimmy Page fucked up that solo. High on coke i guess.

    But hell nice performance.

  • It angers me to think people like the dull, monotonous music today over this type. This music has feeling, emotion and an absolutely amazing solo, and the music today just sounds like crap!

  • That solo is just amazing. Jimmy Page is truely a fantastic guitarist! He should be at 2nd place in the rolling stones magazine's top 100 guitarists of all time!

  • he plays in a weird key on the sole... jimmy page still rocks it tho

  • Would never have been an Aerosmith if not for Led Zep, and they still never measured up.

  • @thegunnydog There wouldn't have been a lot of great bands without Zeppelin.

  • Does anyone else think this sounds like shit? I'm a huge Zeppelin fan, but this is garbage. Nowhere close to the 1971 Royal Albert Hall show

  • @purplehaze0120 yes you are right...=[

  • @purplehaze0120 You have no ears..

PS: Royert Albert Hall's show in 1970 not 71.

  • Onboard the USS Reid FFG 30 in Long Beach California, our gunnery guy who also controlled computers threw the small arms, hand guns, and his computers over board. He looked like Van Gogh when the Nazis came to get him. If I could turn back time I would make them release my shipmate. I would have let them taste our gun. We were medical guinea pigs. google search Mobile Audit Club

  • the best version of this song EVER! who wouldn't like it ? i dont get it.........

  • 1977 california shows probably had the best over the hills and far away playing

  • @17ledzeppelin I agree!, i own 2 of the 6 shows in LA, and they are incredible! especially when page gets into his solo, the power trio KICKS ASS!! P.

  • Page has a perm .... who cares. He is Mr. Bad Ass !!!

    Led Zep 4EVER

  • Marty Mac Fly is a fucking idiot! If i could travel through the time I would go to Earls court in 1975!

  • Amazing. I love the part where plant is all DO IT!! Haha

  • 20 people should go over the hills and far away

  • Someone needs to write a virus for this dislike button.

  • my boys jonesy and bonzo in the back fucking that shit up., favorite rhythm section.

  • the best.

  • 20 dislikes? They must be A Day To Remember fans...-.-

  • jimmy page executed a treaty with satan. that's what led to the success. satan took robert plat's son as the pay off. everyone knows that.

  • I learned how to play stairway to heaven, 100%, in one week.

  • @Link11243 cool man... not

  • if you listen, you can hear zeppelin echo in many other musicians music

  • @wtsamatta No kidding! there is a song I just heard that totally ripped off Dyer Maker!

  • i love it ho somebodys always gotta put down argueably one of the best and especially the most influential bands of the 70's. build a bridge and get the fuck over yourselves.

  • led zeppelin can never be rated too much , only gods can rate them

  • imagine if john bonham was still alive and how many more albums and song's they would of made

  • @minijimmypage Sad to say, probably none. Most of the rumors floating around at the time is that In Thru The Out Door and the ensuing tour was going to be their last.

  • @wtsamatta wow never knew that thanks

  • I used to know how to play this song and I am only 11! Jimmy Page inspeierd me to play guitar and I have been playing for 4 years now.

  • comparing Zep to other bands is like comparing apples and oranges, there is no 'better' or 'worse'. It's like 'Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix?' it's a matter of PERSONAL TASTE - both are amazing. I disagree with the whole Zep being 'overrated' comment, in fact they're my favorite band but wtv, it's that person's personal opinion. If he/she is just saying it like that, without knowing the facts, then it's still his/her opinion - an ignorant opinion - but still a that person's personal opinion.

  • LED ZEPPELIN WAS AND STILL IS A LIVING AND BREATHING LIFE FORCE, LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!

  • Heroin is bad, but the solos it induces are awesome.

  • SO GOOOD

  • Zep overrated? I must agree! Ask, "best Zep song?"-many will say S.T.H.,Moby Dick, The Ocean, B. dog and many, many, others. Thus the fan base is large & diverse, this is very confusing. Now if one says Tiny Tim, bang, Tip Toe thru The Tulips is the only song anyone can think of him ever singing. Ergo, Tiny Tim is without question the greatest talent of all time-so everyone else is overrated.

  • ...and what a great journey it was...

  • Comment removed

  • @StealYourFace1000 And you are a pretentious douchebag.

  • exelente!!!!!!

  • People who like Zep marginally always point out these types of performances in terms of their being overrated. So in Jazz, Miles Davis & Dizzy Gillespie are overrated?

Pop audiences don't get it in general. But there arent any who can copy this performance today even though sound equipment is leaps and bounds what it was 40 years ago. Now imagine the talent it took to not only write the song but improvise Jazz into Rock the way they do live.

  • @macanoodough Agreed. I can't think of a single current band that can hold a candle to Zeppelin. Sure, there are all kind of effects and equipment available to bands theses days, but nobody can come close to Zeppelin in terms of their compositional and improvisational skills, versatility, musicianship, and sheer power. Plus, they had a commanding stage presence. Bands aren't this badass and sure of themselves anymore. That's why the Zeppelin myth and mystique live on.

  • @avocate201 Why you are one of few people who knows understand the music ?

  • @avocate201 Kayo Dot, Tame Impala, and Radiohead.

  • @o0RubberSoul0o Oh really? Lets make a vow then to rule the rock scene in 20.... 20 whatever!!

  • JPJ shouldn't be labeled as a Bassist, he should be labeled as a "Bassist/Keyboardist/Multi-Instrumentalist/Awesome Songwriter" who got run over by his band"mates" (especially Page, who often got credit for JPJ's riffs).

  • @CentraCross Jones was also a masterful string arranger.

  • @CentraCross Page stole a LOT of stuff, but he only stole from musicians he admired. I think JPJ knows and appreciates this - and therefore he is not the slightest bit resentful.

  • love you brother eric good old days downrivwe!!!

  • Ok, I just figured out what the greatest band would be. Ok, picture this:

    On lead guitar, Jimmy Page

    On lead vocals, Robert Plant

    On drums, John Bonham

    On bass, John Paul Jones.

Oh wait, there's already a band like that, and it's called LED ZEPPELIN!

  • @Sunburn190 > No that band is Called - LED FUCKIN' ZEPPELIN !! ;)

  • @ezeva I think it's called Led Zeppelin. I don't think there is a Fuckin' in the middle of it.

  • @ezeva I think your thinkin of Guns N FUCKIN Roses...

  • @Sunburn190 good one

  • @Sunburn190

     Or, picture this:

    On lead guitar, Jimmy Page

    On lead vocals, Justin Bieber

    On drums, John Bonham

    On bass, John Paul Jones.

    LOL!

  • @lenbo37 Justin Bieber got a gay voice, put Lady Gaga on vocals lol

  • @lenbo37 Hahahahaha BOOOOOOO! Thumbs up though.

  • led zeppelin isn't overrated... a lot of people just listen to them and like their music... you want overrated -- guns n' roses is overrated. g n r are a bunch of assholes.

  • @TheHogger129 Now adays that is. The only Asshole in GN'R was Axl, but he was such a big asshole that he completely eclipsed the others who were nice guys.

  • i'm sorry but Zeppelin fucking rules all

  • The greatest rock n roll band of all time.

  • "6 and a half ahhhhhhhhhhhhh years" hahahahahahaha

  • van halen is the best band. Zeppelin is bomb tho

  • @o0RubberSoul0o - I hope you do my friend. This generation is in much need of a few real musical geniuses. So if you ever are famous, don’t forget that we once had a conversation on Youtube. A pair of tickets to one of your concerts will do! LOL

  • "Six and a half years". You can tell how young Plant was at the time to consider that such a very long period of time.

  • @o0RubberSoul0o - Yes The Beatles, Stones, The Who, Byrds, Eagles, CCR, E L & P, Tull, Grand Funk Railroad, Doors, Black Sabbath, Rush, Yes, Fleetwood Mack... There were many more bands that I could have mentioned, but unfortunately Youtube limits the number of characters that you can use. In any case, the ones I made reference to were in my opinion the most talented instrumentally speaking, although I agree that The Beatles and the Stones marked an era that will never be repeated ever again.

  • it's entirely possible to love both the beatles and zeppelin and so much more

stop being jerkoff fanboys and love music

  • I will probably never see Zeppelin live but they are amazingly sick

  • Beatles fans hate Zep for showing how it's really done.

  • @selfpotatoify wow your wrong i love both bands equally

  • For those of you who dont know, Led Zeppelin played their concerts like this ON PURPOSE! It's called improvisational playing...jazz players do it all the time. Its suppose to be the original song, with whatever they are feeling they should throw in at the moment. Learn something about music or the band before you comment. ZEPPELIN FOR LIFE! MY FAV SONG!

  • @Shinobiz11 You are right, Zeppelin is on the rare real music band in rock story.

  • That was great! Woah!!

  • The ones who say it's an over-rated band...i hope you'll burn as slow as you can.

    Led Zeppelin won`t die.

  • is thi8s a dvd

  • @138hyde yes, the song remains the same

  • @drnapls2 - Yes, of course they are overrated! I mean, they only had one of the best rock guitarists of all time, probably the best rock drummer of all time, one of the best base guitar players of all time and probably one of the best rock singers of all time. They were considered the most influential band of the 70's and one of the best selling artists of all time. Let's face it, not much to really boast about, is it? Out of curiosity, which bands would you consider to be better than Zep?

  • @JGBugs Only band i would ever compare to Led would be pink floyd but their styles are very different

  • @PLUMPER101 I disagree, zep was much heavier! floyd was very spacey!, not to say zep wasn"t in area"s but as a WHOLE, zep was very different! (better too)!! mop.

  • Comment removed

  • @PLUMPER101 Zep, Floyd, Cream, Purple, Allman Brothers and Skynyrd were all very talented bands. Who were the best? It would be very difficult to say as there are many factors to consider. What heights would Skynyrd have reached had they not suffered the plane crash… What if Syd Barrett had not left Floyd... What if Duane Allman had not died at the tender age of 24.. What if Bruce and Baker had not forced the breakup of Cream.. Let’s enjoy them as they were and don’t bother about who was best.

  • @JGBugs Pink Floyd still holds my number 1 spot. IMO that's the only one that's better than them.

  • @JGBugs word man, preach it. Randoms dont know how lucky we are to have witnessed such a band

  • @JGBugs what a dick slap to the face.... ahahahahahahaa. Felt the wind on that one.

  • @JGBugs Yeah, and to add, they NEVER put out a single. Rolling Stones magazine, which has a lot of loyal readers, NEVER put anything in the magazine that was a positive statement about Zeppelin. One of the few articles actually said something along the lines of: "The guitarist was average at best." So, basically, Led Zeppelin had every odd against them. Only the peoples love of their music made them the greatest band to ever form.

  • boyz to men u ass hole

  • no way fall out boy is

  • @JGBugs

drnapls2 <-- That guy just got owned.. :)

  • @JGBugs you totally misspelled bass genius.

  • @JGBugs *Whisper* It's bass guitar, but I'll let you off! *Whisper*

  • @JGBugs rush diffidently not Floyd they were in obscurity till the wall came out

  • @burkitt06075 I gotta correct that. PF was already worldwide known well before The Wall, not later than Dark Side of the Moon.

  • @JGBugs Floyd, and the beatles. But ya.... also, im against the use of the term 'overrated' when it comes to music. People are popular for a reason.

  • @JGBugs Queen, of course!

  • @JGBugs *bass :P

  • @drnapls2 Shit, regardless of how good they are, they can't be overrated, the only people who rate them highly are the people who listen to them. Everyone else (music critics) mostly talk bad about them. Really they are they most critically underrated band. And it is true, they do post one of the most chemical drummer/singer/guitar/bass combo ever known to man.

  • @drnapls2 shup up bastard!!!

o en mi idioma: callate idiota!

  • @drnapls2 if they was overrated, them videos could have 3,000 millons or more... the most underrated band are rolling stone.

  • @cac1987fcb dont bother with that idiot, please! he loves zep just like we do! thats why he"s always on zeppelin sites!! P.

  • @MegaZephead lol that true... just i try to kill him ignorancy...

  • @cac1987fcb sorry i mean The most overrated band is rolling stone.

  • @cac1987fcb your moms overrated.

  • @drnapls2 No, Nirvana is the most overrated band of all time. Kurt Cobain led a whole generation to believe he was a genius, when he was really just high. lol

  • @drnapls2 DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOU IDIOT? LED ZEPPELIN sold out stadiums, had chart topping hits, and had GREAT albums that sold MILLIONS of copies, all beacause of 4 very talented people, that could create GREAT music. all your little Justin beiber can do is twist a few knobs to have a minorly great voice.

  • Jimmy-YOU ARE THE MAN!!

  • @mrmorris5566 quit spamming this OVERRATED band!

  • i love jimmy page.

  • dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • that song makes me cry......,,,,,,,,......

  • @mrmorris5566 but it's supposed to be a happy song?

  • i love jimmy page ♥

  • if anyone's ever tried to play this version of this song on guitar....i think you would agree with me that its impossible....even if its not note for note.

  • @rustylemon313 I can play it?

  • its a very original song, very artistic, page style, but its not hard to play.

  • @frotenberguen which is why it's one of my favourite led zepp songs, i can actually play it

  • My favour

  • I remember that Acapulco gold!! I once had a pocket full...........Great version of that track, thanks for posting.

  • love that heck

  • like the poops

  • ...Zeppelin vs Pink Floyd.....they can both be the best band ever~!

  • @Riley1831 and deep purple!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pipis742 deep purple were actually better than led zeppelin in playing (not in songwriting)

  • @RocketRivasHR maybe this concert, MSG 1973 was led zep;s best imo

  • I Like this song, but I've only heard it on the radio, so i never got the title. I've been looking for the title for ages! I finally found it! yay! (I shouldn't get involved, but Keith Richards? Really? Sure great, but during his time. Page's life is his time)

  • Favorite Zeppelin song, also, Plant doesn't sound quite as unbelievable live, but he is still unbelievable, I love his little add ins.

  • reading about those that hate the led..well,i've thought of theenvy, but the world is beautiful couse of different tastes, and we aren't all equal...they area God's gift,4 my taste..********************************

  • man i love this band and this song, but he butchered it here live

  • Have you seen a recient picture of Page? He looks chinese!!!!!!LOL!

  • @drnapls2 Everyone ages....at least he's not chocked full of plastic surgery. He is what he is...the master of all guitarists.....even to date. I heard him do some stuff about a year ago, and he played and sounded like he had the hounds of hell riding his back!!!! None better than Mr. Page! BTW, he is 67 years old....who else can play like that at friggin' 67???!!!!

  • @mrmorris5566 Who else? Ever heard of Keith Richards?

  • @drnapls2 yes my friend heard of Keith..he is good..but Mr. Page is Mr.Page

  • @drnapls2 Keith Richards don't hold a Fucking Candlestick to Jimmy Page, anyone can play some simple licks, chords and riffs, but it takes a genius like Jimmy Page to play the guitar like this, JIMMY PAGE > KEITH RICHARDS PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bikkk57 Let me help you out here, fuckstick. Keith can play a variety of music....blues, disco, country, pop, hard core rock, and many, many more genres of music. However, Jimmy is one of my all time faves, he has a style that is his own. He doesn't and possibly can't branch out to anything other than Zep hard core rock. My vote is for a MASTER of many styles of music......not just ONE....By the way, how old are you....15??

  • @mrmorris5566

if jimmy is one of your all time faves you should know he doesn't just play one style. First of all you can hear many different styles and genres of music within Led zeppelin's many songs and albums. They are heavily blues and folk influenced to start with. Pages guitar stylings have a vast range. If you don't hear the differences it's your own narrow mindedness to blame. And no one wants to hear any guitar player jamming out DISCO, so kindly leave that shit somewhere else.

  • @mrmorris5566 Actually, Jimmy Page's style is a perfect mix of jazz and blues. Led Zeppelin was just raw, powerful rock music because of it's blues influence. But many of the more complex structures of the songs were from the jazz influence. Because they're British, they naturally made better music than Americans, but they used American musical influences to create a unique, and awesome sound.

  • @drnapls2 yeah about 30 years ago!!! and thats saying alot!! PAGE IS THE MASTER!!!

  • @mrmorris5566 Yes, Page still plays at a very high level. I think the only other person his age who can still play with such ferocity is Jeff Beck.

  • @avocate201 the only person who could play at his level back in the lat 60s/early70s as well, Jeff Beck and Jimmy are the greatest guitar gods still walking this Earth

  • @drnapls2 he is partly Chinese you cretin bastard . And what's funny about that ? Besides , didn't I tell you to fuck off already ? ( and also ... Kieth Richards ? I wouldn't let that freaked out old goat play rythym guitar in my garage band

  • @RisingSon011 I thought you were being an ass when you told me to "fuck off", and I was right. Led Zep stinks!

  • @drnapls2 fuck you go listen to transexual gaga and justin gayber led zeppelin is the best

  • What's not to like? 19 f#ckers give thumbs down?? WTF?? Bizzzaaarrroooooo......

    Some of Jimmy's best work...

  • best band ever.

  • Thank you Led Zepplin !!!!

  • Do It!

  • I also think Zeppelin brought more to the table then their peers. All 4 of them were bona fide brilliant musicians. No other band had as much contribution from each member as Led Zep. Not Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Who, The Rollings Stones and on and on. Page: pretty decent guitarist, studio genious. Plant: hippe lyricist with the most immitated rock voice ever. Jones: Great musician, song writer and carried the load when Page was "not well". Bonzo: IMHO the best drummer ever.

  • @RJS666 Member for member, I think Zeppelin has been the most fiercely and awesomely talented band in rock and roll history. There are many other bands that I like from the classic rock era, but when I listen to the Beatles, the Stones, or the Who, I don't think to myself, "How did they play that???" Zeppelin is the only band I can think of in which every single member was brilliant at what he did and is described in superlatives like "the greatest" fill-in-the-blank of all time.

  • @avocate201

I agree, they make you feel differently about every song. Emotion Wise.

i will however name a few that "cut the mustard"

    Rush

    Tesla

    They are all awesome musicians...

  • Agreed. Today's commercial rock music is pure crap compared to older bands, but there are good new bands out there. You won't find them on most radio stations though. But the 70's gave us disco and the 80's gave us Flock of Seagulls so who are we to compare. As for Led Zep. They were simply the best band in generation that spawned many great bands.

  • This is my daughters song her name is Page!! Her fav!! She is almost Ten years gone:(

  • This is my daughters song her name is Page!! Her fav!!

  • awesome coming from a 12yr old

  • im sorry horrible*

  • @monkeymen1997

sloppy yes. horrible? The song is fucking brilliant. I love the way Page works his way out of the solo with that nice catchy riff that isn't on the studio cut.

  • @RJS666 YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been all over that riff for months now!!! I've recently found the video and that song.....with that extra little pleasure included...it's freakin' awesome!!! My eight year old wants a Les Paul!!!!

  • @RJS666

actually, it's the rythm part in the studio version. It's not that loud though

  • all you led zeppelin haters...go fuck yourselves, you are complete fucktard dipshits and have an absolutly harrible taste of music so just shut the fuck up...I LOVE YOU LED ZEPPELIN!!!

  • god, i love led zepplin

  • I personally think most of their live material is better than their studio recorded songs because they make their mistakes seem like its a natural part of the melody/song. Nowadays you hear someone mess up in a song and you just laugh at them.

  • @Funtokill414 they aren't mistakes, he adds and changes things as he goes.

  • @mcquick22 Thanks, man. By the way I wasn't trying to down Led Zep's ability or anything.

  • Comment removed

  • @BiotoxicityFactor this isnt one of zep's best live videos. If you havent watched all of the royal albert hall and MSG concerts watch them first and youll probably change your mind. The No Quarter, Stairway, and Since IVe Been Lovin You to name just a couple from MSG are incredible. Page kills all those solos and they change the songs considerably from the studio albums, something few bands do. If you have seen them, i gues theres no changing you opinion

  • @BiotoxicityFactor What a joke bro LMAO, but listen some bootleg of 73 like hambourg, vienna, kezar or osaka 71,but srys, listen even talk...

  • In some ways I like the live performances better than the studio versions. It shows the band's true form. For the people who think they were shit live, watch the movie The Song Remains the Same.

  • @BostonRSox10 Fucking A right....the more and more I watching these old concerts I cant quit listening to the live versions. ONLY ZEPPELIN can you love their studio and live versions!

  • the reason plant's vocals sound off at times in this performance is because like the day before this concert he got a bad flu or some sickness of that kind. he still went out and sang, and even though his voice sounded off in some of his higher songs, he still managed to have some really good ones (in my time of dying from this performance was really good) though that might have been earls court on the next day cuz i think they played like 2 or 3 concerts there.
