@metrocityrr my thought exactly. if they can hit 200mph for long stretches it would cut the time from 50+hours (east to west coast two trains) to just one it could do it in just 15hrs. i pay good money to cross the country in 15hrs

I used to like the Acela Regional paint scheme, there needs to be something a little more exciting than the red white and blue. The regional trains out here now even though they have been on the rails for many yrs could use a face lift, brighter interior lighting and tables and 1+1 seating like the Acela offers. And more advertisement, there just needs to be more investment in the railroad period.

Acela Commuter took the place of the Keystone Service, breifly. The name was changed back because the 3 different brands were causing confusion (Acela Regional became Regional, then Northeast Regional).

ACELA service is awesome. I'm praying that more high speed rail corridors will open up throughout the country, particularly out of Chicago. :-)
