yes, good point Cory. I was definitely going with a generalization there in order to keep the video concise - but there is certainly a plethora of other possibilities for both humans, other primates and most animals in fact :)
I don't think the social system for finding a romantic partner for humans is quite as straightforward as Dr. Bondar puts it in the first few seconds of the video. Between serial monogamy, LGBTQ, growing numbers of childless hetero couples, polyamory, etc... we're realizing just how un-straightforward things really are.
yes @jmcg02908 there are many metrosexual animals - posing as members of the opposite sex for various reasons. it's a fantastic world out there!!
