the Manfred Mann album was The Roaring Silence (1976) and the song Joybringer. Manfred Mann also covered the Spectrum songs Launching Place and I'll Be Gone, two albums earlier on The Good Earth (1974). The Holst piece is on youtu.be slash Nz0b4STz1lo
PS Ross Wilson was in an earlier band called 'Sons of Vegetal Mother'. The Daddy Cool Album the song was on was called, 'Sex Dope and Rock N Roll'.. not on youtube anywhere as far as I could find :(
The tune was ripped off from Holst's 'The Planets Suite": Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity. The Daddy Cool version I have on vinyl is a lot faster and has that saxaphone thing going that Zappa and the orginal Mothers did so well, while 'borrowing' tunes from Stravinski etc - Zappa also used the middle section of 'Jupiter' in 'Call Any Vegetable' - maybe that gave Daddy Cool the challenge to try to use the same tune, different section, to do a Zappa tribute?
In 'Golden Miles: Austrailian Progressive Rock' it does sat that Wilson had been influenced by everyone from Zappa to Howlin' Wolf. Wolf was one of Zappa's influences as well. I'd like to see some Bakery on YouTube.
this could quite possibly be the shit groovin murtceps

@recman1207 Can you tell me from what album of MMEB? I also noticed the similarity, but just can't remember from what album.

@bouwgod Yes the Daddy Cool version is very lively... This version is much more bluesy / prog...
This could have been the Oz national Anthem! Should have been...
Ripped from Holtz? far out. I never bothered to listen... there you go.
But then it serves Classical right for not having groovey lyrics.
