  • NX was a show that "watched" like a book.

  • first plan was they gonna catapult a cow but it was allready done at mony phyton show

  • This show illustrates the potential of television as a medium to express art... alas we have regressed into the mirror opposite... f*ckin sad...

  • aa

  • @klimber1000

    It is available on DVD.

It was released about 2 or 3 years ago.

  • nice show :)

  • watching this was to us back then what to other people is going to church... great series!

  • One of my favourite moments from my favourite ever series. Thank you.

  • Hahaha! My favorite episode of this great show. Whenever I try to explain NthrnExpsr to someone too young to know it, this is the episode I tell them about ~ this, and the ones with the unexplained bubbles drifting thru town.

This has made me want to build a really big trebuchet for the past 15yrs. Pray I never do.

  • the funny thing is that I felt "it" too.. you have to love NE, 1 of the best shows ever :)

  • best example of a "rest" in music! ...minus the Stravinsky back ground music.

  • "it's not what you fling, it's the fling itself." Love it!

  • HAHAHAHA. god i loved this how.

  • Absolutely the best show ever!

  • I love this and I really miss the show. It makes me want to move back up north......maybe.

  • The flinging piano LOL thanks for sharing:)

  • Yea ...Tooley was good people!

  • Man, he is beautiful!

  • John Corbett, HOT as hell. been loving him a long time...

  • The first time I saw this on TV, I recognized the music (The Blue Danube) from the opening intro, realized they were headed toward a takeoff of the movie "2001" (oh, the heracy!), then fell down laughing for literally five minutes. This was such a good laugh, I still remember it after almost twenty years.

  • Outstanding! Out standing! They simply don't make great television like this any more Northern Exposure was once in a life time experience :) God I wish that town was real I'd move instently! :)

  • @Vort317545 Northern Exposure was once in a life time experience . That's it.

  • @Vort317545 that town is real

  • out f/n standing,,,remember it well,like yesterday

  • It's not the thing you fling, it's the fling itself.

  • This was one awesome show. Brings back good memories.

  • always loved that show!

  • love these types of scenes with chris. would like to find more scenes of adam and his rants. also if anyone knows where i can find the scene where adam ant is playing guitar riffs with the locals playing drums behind him

  • back when it was still vhs tapes, i recorded every show, it took 18 tapes,,northern exposure and the xfiles, they where lined up on that shelf next to each other,ed was my fave on northern exposure

  • they should of, played a strieght clip of the piano flying ?

  • LOL, thanks for this! I miss this show so much. I love Maurice's totally confused look after Chris' comment, LMAO!

  • In this colorless version it feels more like I'm remember the scent than seeing it again.

  • The TV from the dingy flat I was renting in 1998 had some sort of weird malfunction, I could only watch the shows in black and white. I've now got all of the episodes on DVD, but THIS is how I will always remember Northern Exposure. I think the series really drove a lot of teenagers at the time towards real, gutsy, odd and meaningful cinema. Almost every other TV show appears cliche and pointless by comparison.

  • best show ever

  • ahahaha~! That is Awesome!

  • Fucking Awesome!

  • This fantastic show reached Hungary too and it was the most watched tv shows in the 90s. We used to run home like hell to watch it and my parents loved it too. That is what I call Pure Cinema Magic. Talents, a good script with a beautiful location never go wrong. Go Cicely!!!!

  • It was just the same in neighbouring Romania :-) NX will always stick with me! Greatest TV series ever, hands down!

  • I wish someone would post the one with Tooley's coffin being flung into the lake, to the tune of "White Shade of Pale".

  • @13strong that was cool,season 4 I think.

  • I miss this show so much...my favorite tv show of all time.

  • I think it was one of the best TV series ever seen in Spain, even in the world... Thank you for the nice post!

  • Because I think it looks better, like a old movie.

  • Please don't do that. It looks better as it WAS.

  • Why is it black and white?

  • great episode; this show was superb, thanks for posting

  • Hilarious! I love Northern Exposure.

  • thanks for posting..i remember this episode well..

  • I've always wanted my own trebeche, they have ads for free pianos in the local papers at least once a month.

  • I'm with Maggie..."Nice."

And it's important to mention that Chrix's comment, "It's not the thing you fling, it's the fling itself." is a play on Kant's 'Ding an Sich,' or 'The thing in itself.'

  • It's not the thing you fling, it's the fling itself.

  • Chris człowiek z fantazją. Pozytywnie zakręcony. Szkoda, że tacy "wariaci" zdarzają się tylko w filmach

  • Classic forgotten clip that a friend dusted off and pointed to. Thanks!

  • "Przystanek Alaska"!!! Nasze dzieciaki nie zrozumią tego serialu, tak jak nie zrozumieli tego nasi rodzice!
