@kevmilla I show the licks in the key of E. Bb is6 frets higher than E ( the 6th fret on the E string is Bb). So you have to move every single lick 6 frets higher to play in Bb. You ask what the first note would be, but I am playing two notes at once. In the key of E, I use G# on the E string, and B on the G string. In Bb, you would use D on the E string, and F on the G string.
Folks, if you're a marginally talented rookie like me, just capo up 3 and follow the video. That way you can be in the original Sam and Dave key and still play the full E chord (really G) for the verse.
@poppinskittlez252 That is in the soul man chorus video. Check the rest of my videos. The links to the rest of soul man are in the text under the video.
@givmeyourcheese Real life is really busy. I have gigs to play as well as a real job. Follow the link to the TAB. The link is right in the caption of the video.
@Anas3101 To play along with the Sam and Dave version, move every lick 3 frets higher. Sam and Dave do the song starting in the key of G, which is 3 frets higher than the Blues Brothers version.
@Siontje If you are playing along with the Sam and Dave recording, then start at the seventh fret (Sam and Dave did the song in the key of G). The version I am showing is in the key of E, the way The Blues Brothers did it.
thanks. question what would be the first note if you were playing this in b flat
