re:2:50 time he states "its much tougher to flip using the 'ng' sound"..Ok, first of all by 'flip', he means the break from head to chest, yes? Im gonna suggest that when he started the example with the 'ng' sound he had already flipped. Whereas he started lower on the 'mmm' sound and induced the "flip". Maybe yes?

@skidrowsux1977 from what he demonstrates when he "flips" or "switches over" It would seem he means breaking cord closure and flipping to falsetto. At least that's what it sounds like to me.

The flipping is what you don't want. With flip he means flip into falsetto, which is not what you're gonna be looking for when doing high notes. You wanna use your mix, and that's what he's demonstrating. He's using a light heady mix, and I think the exercizes are meant so you can get that high light mix to sound more powerfull.

I keep watching these vids and i hear a lot of high pitched sounds but nobody ever puts them into the context of singing, like rock or pop. I want to hear that these high pitched noises can translate to good solid head voice singing. otherwise its only good for producing cartoon voices.

You need someone to explain to you why increasing your vocal change would help you? these sounds are to get you accustomed to the vocal position. Are you able to emulate all the rock or pop artists out there when it comes to high notes? Bruno Mars' Grenade? If not you should start taking notes.

Compare his voice to mine. His is high for a male. Its not female-ish he just has very little dark or low timbre to his voice.
