@supernick500 if you look in the back of the machine there is a midi input out put so just hook that to a midi out / usb in and it should hook right in to your computer
The MPC 5000 is tight when the Akai guy plays with it, but when you play with it in person it sucks ass...Im a 2500 owner...and the 5000 is Akai's worse MPC ever...the 4000 is a monster
Trajiq - I agree, but the trouble when someone is a genius is they sometimes assume everyone else is too. I found the demo very hard to follow. I am a total novice and expected this to explain in clear language how to programme the machines, but I got lost very quickly!

The 5000 is not that bad, Ive owned all the MPC's and the 3000...I like the 5000 but Im looking to get a 4000 next....
