I don't know how they come up with these riffs. Their albums are piles of monstrous riffs that other bands spend their careers trying to write. incredible.
Somehow i always knew good music would save the world. Please learn about the Zeitgeist Movement and the Venus Project.................. well of course first TURN IT UP!
I love the appropriate voice acting for the lyrics... if they were simply sung they would have less meaning. These guys give meaning to the phrases using their voices, in a way which I've never heard of before or since. Totally unique. Then they throw in perfect harmony on top of it....
@venusfly9108 You better hurry up and find more good bands quickly dude cause when you start listenning to a band at 20 years old or older that makes you a poser.................O_o
thank God people are still appreciating punk rock. I started listening to NMN 20 years ago and havnt gone more than a couple weeks without hearing them since. My kids listen to them now.
I keep why do they call me mr happy away though, what a profoundly sad and emotional album.
I saw them live in Kelowna a few years ago, in a campus bar. There was about 20 hipsters standing backs to the wall, opposite the band. My friend and I were choked, and so danced right up front. The guys from the band danced with us. Though the scene sucked, it was so god damn awesome being so close to No Means No that we were literally dancing with them.
Heard my mates parents talking about this band the other day, so I'm checking them out. Sounds fucking sweet, you can really hear where a lot of bands of the past 15 years got their sound from.
@nuclearjanitors Shit man, that comment was when I was just getting into this stuff. (Didn't forget Big Black though). Don't think I'd even heard of Fugazi and now they're my favourite band.
Seen these old men on stage a couple of years ago. I'm a rather calm and peaceful person - but I couldn't keep myself from pogoing. I like all Nomeansno records - the recent ones too - but "Wrong" is maybe the most compact.
She rises Captain! She rises Captain! She rises Captain! She rises Captain!
Captain - Dive! Dive! Captain - Dive! Dive! Captain - Dive! Dive! Captain - Dive!
Live, it was a sight to behold. The entire place erupted.
