@saxman8050 The control is there so I'm not sure where your argument comes from. In this style we like to see fluctuation in the pitch and feel 'loss of control', which is, I believe, the foundation of jazz. A solo is a solo and musicianship flows out of it.
I like to see even bigger changes in the pitch so you hear the sound bending even more. Like a third dimension of music if you will.

If you could actually control your vibrato, and keep a steady pitch, it would be a lot better.
