I'm not advocating to send them money, but I find their reasons for getting involved seem sincere & somewhat echo my own reasons. During the 6-Day war, in 67, Israel captured the Sinai Desert and Gaza, but in 1978, when Israel and Egypt finally made peace, and the Sinai Desert was returned, Egypt refused to take Gaza. Why? Because it's a hornet's nest which no one in his right mind, including Israel ,which withdrew unilaterally from Gaza in 2005, would want to hold on to.

It's the framework of Israel withdrawing to the 1967 borders, East Jerusalem as the Arab capital, a fraction of the refugees being accepted only so Israel wouldn't be destabilized socially. Recently, some former Israeli security professionals essentially endorsed what the Arab League plan said which connects to the UN resolutions, so there has to be an emphasis that one needs a viable solution and be sincere.

People would use their intelligence to cooperate there rather than religious prejudices. People would focus more on education. That would be my dream. I know it can happen, but waiting for the politicians doesn't work so well.

Judea and Samaria are being negotiated ,for peace. Israeli forces are generally getting smaller there ,as well.
And there are some disagreements about Shibaa Farms. But that wouldn't stop Hizballa from firing 6000 rockets on Israeli civilians (including Arab ones...) and claim they are fighting for Shibaa Farms.

There is one big difference...

During the 6-Day war, in 67, Israel captured the Sinai Desert and Gaza, but in 1978, when Israel and Egypt finally made peace, and the Sinai Desert was returned, Egypt refused to take Gaza. Why? Because it's a hornet's nest which no one in his right mind, including Israel ,which withdrew unilaterally from Gaza in 2005, would want to hold on to.
