I felt bad for Ms. Supsup/Philippines when she rushed through her answer in less than 20 seconds for such a loaded, if not difficult, question on religion. Her response betrayed a more myopic understanding of the role of religion in society, especially as a significant avenue or value towards peace, justice and understanding between peoples. Unfortunately, all wars are by nature, religious wars. Forgiveness, respect and acceptance are the basis and the crown of love and religion.
