The reason that the sensitivity has to be put up is nothing to do with the cancelation,

It is because the rockband mic is an ELECTRET capsule (powered design) and the sure sm58 is a DYNAMIC. An electret, is by design more sensitive using a circuit to measure the movement of the diaphragm, whereas the dynamic  generates a current based on how far is is moved within it's magnetic coil - think of a speaker cone in reverse.

@Randomuk187 Although correct to a degree, I have been using Shure Mics for years. I actually talked to a person from there before this video was made to make sure I was correct.

yeah rockband original mic sux, FOR MY OPINION. once i was playing with friend and somehow he got mad for me and almsot started to cry when he said ''DONT FUCKING SPIT ON THE MIC''and i was like shy and then said ''GET AWAY FROM THE MIC!''... i can beat him up id want... (NO) :D

seems to me, the pro mic isn't that good unless its turned all the way up, or you have a professional singing voice.

Turning it all the way up has nothing to do with the quality. Watch all 3 of Cena's videos, and he will explain it in more detail.

These pro mics are better, you just have to change your settings to get them dialed in to where you need them.

With a pro mic, you are able to literally scream out lyrics, and the game will pick it all up - You can't do that with a RB mic all the time :)

The key is like I demonstrated is you have to open your mouth! You cannot sing in a mumble with a pro mic. I use mine all the time and I have no problem with it.

I managed to get the "woo"s to go off when I cupped my hands around the mic and yelled down into it. Also where is part 2?
