The only place where the term black is used is America do describe African Americans who do not know their country of origin due to slavery to the term used is African American. They have far far darker skin than most black people. Un like African Americans they were not freed by white people they freed themselves. In America people call people Latino rather than Mexican our Cuban 2 seperate cultures. People call Irish Americans and Russian Americans white despite the huge cultural differences. On top of it Haitians along with other black cultures are lumped into one statistical category in the US and its seen as "AA dysfunction" when these other black groups are just as culpable. Somalis had an idea of "black" that contributed to the slavery &later discrimination of the Bantus, Same with the Arabs when it came differences between pale, brown, and dark skin using Greek philosophy in their slave trade.

I used Somalis & Arabs as examples, their cultures predate the European concept of race. Somalis &b Arabs believed that skin color indicated abilities/ capacities as far back as the 8th century. All culture have the same basic values including those in the US. Its the consequences for not adhering that makes a culture different, not the values.
