  • really miss this level of federer-- please start playing like this again roger

your die hard tennis fan forever

  • What actualy federer does in this match: he played only on Nadal's backhand, he tried to avoid completely Nadal's forehand and play on the backhand side to perturbate him and it worked very well for Federer and he was close from victory. To play someone in Tennis you need to read him, play on his weaknesses and bring him play on your strengths...THIS WAS A PERFECT TENNIS LESSON FROM FEDERER.AMAZING TACTICAL MATCH........

  • Federer won every point in the tiebreak by a winner

  • Nadal is an amazing player given as an invisible man punches him in the nuts every time he hits the ball. Just listen to him.

  • Awesome crowd. The way they shhh.

  • My point was that Nadal has been beaten on clay. In Hamburg '08 Ferrero beat him.

  • not hamburg dude more like italy.

  • Dude you crazy or sth. Did you see the size of the wound burst that happened in that match against ferrero, the commentators said that it is astonishing that Nadal was even able to finish the match though he lost. Nadal was beaten fair and square by fed in hamburg 07. That was feds only victory against nadal on clay. Nadal is the greatest player of all time.

  • Vamos Rafa!

  • Sorry but I don't buy it. Rafa won the first set 6-2 so he couldn't have been that injured/tired. I don't see why some people can't just accept that on the rare occasion, Roger simply played better on clay.

  • @Ryan81M Wilander said that if Fed had taken those two match points he would have been Nadal's master on clay...i don't agree...it would have been a good win though

  • @Indul1

TBH, I don't put too much faith in what Mats "I've got the biggest Wilanders in the world" Wilander says. He himself admitted at RG '09 last year that most of the time he has no clue what he is saying. Unfortunately, Nadal's natural emphasis to hit to Roger's backhand being a lefty makes it very difficult for a one-handed player to counter the massive topspin on his forehand, especially on clay. The ball bounces at shoulder height and if you are using only one arm, it's bloody tough.

  • @Ryan81M Mats "I've got the biggest Wilanders in the world" Wilander ...if you knew how much i'am laughing at that quote right now....i'am almost on the floor...thanks for the response...Class

  • @Ryan81M You must have made that bit up about wilander confessing that he does not know what he is actually talking about....hilarous..!

  • @Indul1

No, he actually said it himself while in the studio last year. I think Navratilova was with him, too. I thought to myself "well, at least he's said something that makes sense for a change"

  • @Indul1 when did Wilander say that ? LMAO

Anyway Mats sometimes is a fool , I won't be surprised if he said that .

  • No one beats Nadal on clay - not even Federer.

  • Did you forget Hamburg '07? ;-)

  • Or Rome '08? ;-)
