My Grandparents has a 1993 Lexus ES 300 for 15 Years

in 2006 the Engine Died from a Cracked Cylinder Head.

sat at a Friend of my Grandparents house for some years and finally it was Scrapped unfortunately :-(

usa -- 92 and 93 camry and es 300 have same engine 3vz-fe. its a great engine.

94+ is 1mz-fe [different variations on 1mz-fe exist but fall under the same name making it confusing, but go by yyear to end confusion]

i will be making a new video sometime in higher quality showing the improvements ive made to the car. the car is faster now,  i lose traction in first gear. stock. let me repeat this. even with a rolling start, and gradually pressing the gas to the floor, my tires break traction.

car has no more exhaust leak [well 95%], and the suspension in rear is stiffer which i guess means i can launch a little harder, and ill take the hunting camping gear out of trunk this time

lexus made 1992 and 1993 5speeds, then, like toyota, they stopped for a couple years, with the v6.

where did I buy it.... why do you ask? if you want one go to the club lexus forums and look for sellers... plus the obvious internet sites.

2.5% of ES 300s in 1993 came equipped with the 5speed, so it is very rare, but as time goes by, more likely in the 92/93 you will come across since the manual trans more resilient

the reason not to go twin turbo has to do with the weight, complexity, and room issues. I dont think it has been done on the fwd toyota v6 platform that camry and es 300 share, but I know single turbo has. I talked this over with the guys at work. Expert told me single is just fine. He also told me about a turbo that raced in north jersey... 5spd 1995 es 300 [prob was a 1993... he always ups the year on this ES]... stock appearance except wheels... ran I think 12s? amazing, custom work on it

ok...not to be an ass...but that 1993 es is SLOW. My grandmother had a 93 es automatic...slowest car in the world. went through 3 engines too....

second: I had an exhaust leak which hurt my low RPM performance

third: my timing was off [ignition timing ]

fourth: Amy car weights 3400 empty and B) I weight over 200 lbs, and I have 100 lbs of tools and guns&ammo in the trunk.

fifth: what would be your estimation of slow? The thing goes 140mph!

thirdly, and just for posterity, I wasn't even floring it in the beginning nor launching or anything, but floored it at the end of first gear. you can see that if you are able to.

one more thing for posterity, the car weights a lot , but it still manages 7.9 to 8.0 in 0-60 time , and that's with horrible gearing. i think my gearing and engine range is throwing you off. also your grandmothers car is the biggest non sequitor I've heard from negative [sorry to judge you, maybe that will change when we talk] commentors.

first gear 6500 RPM about 36 to 38 mph

second gear 6500 RPM about 62 to 64 mph

most civic would be 30 mph and 55 mph respectively. this is 10% quicker adv

my car is as quick as newer model jaguar 3.0s. for it's class, it's good. it could have been better, espcially with Al-alloy block and better gearing. but, that is not to say I dont have advantages from those two things as well. In the works is a single turbo for it to produce 300 SAE HP and 320 LB*FT on stock pieces, which would put her in the 12s
