Continued... and a cast of characters that are constantly threating you or cracking a joke, or whatever, something to keep you engaged. The only thing that Legends was missing is that it should have been longer, something that could get 20 hours at least, but without resorting to the cheap deaths and insanely difficult puzzles that the previous games did to increase their lengths.

Continued... Another thing that makes it boring is the lack of any music whatsoever, except in cutscenes, just ambient sounds, nothing to get you pumped for the combat or puzzles. If it wasn't for the gripping story they bothered to sprinkle in every once and a while, I probably wouldn't have made myself suffer through the games to see it. Legends has interesting and fast paced combat, puzzles that are simple and not too demanding, and a very enticing musical score, Next comment...

This is easily the best tomb raider game I've ever played, probably because it's not boring. All previous tomb raider games had boring combat, which amounted to "fire continuously while jumping away, no further strategy for any of the games whatsoever, followed by even more boring puzzles, which amounted to pull a switch and run and/or jump to another switch ridiculously fast and if you're late by half a second either a trap kills you instantly or you have to start over. I"m a very big fan of tomb raider. I've been playing it ever snice it came out. Tomb Raider Legend is quite disapointing for me coz it only has 8 levels. As usual tomb raider has far more levels than that, but overall it is a outstanding game.

legend and underowrld was short but very fun and has a high replay value(well for me) and great graphics for their time but anniversary combines graphics,gameplay and gametime.i hope they would keep that up.

Underworld and Legend are sooooo fucking short. The classics feel like 9999999999 hours while the new ones are only like 3-4... I remember when I got Underworld because I KNEW that it would just be as short as Legend, I just ran through it as quickly as I could... and I was right, if Crystal Dynamics dosen't make the new TR game longer then I don't know what I'm gonna do.

@YATES2423 Yep, there is one coming out, called Lara Croft The Guardian of Light, but that's not the series just an extra if you know what I mean. Right now they are making a new TR, a new start, different story etc.

Nice looking level designs. Amazing sound quality with Dolby Pro Logic II and music that fits well with the levels. Controls are good, but sometimes difficult to control long jumps. Nice gameplay extras. But the quest is disappointingly short. Great game, but just not enough of it. At least five more levels would have been nice. This game took me about three hours to complete, but Resident Evil 4 takes all day to finish. Very good game, though.

This was a good game, but IMO Anniversary was better.

And the story is just weird with her Mum and everything.

I liked her witty comments and the fact that it's more fluid than AoD but IMO Anniversary is the best game:)

No, Anniversary is longer, Legend had 8 levels and Anniversary had 15 and plus there were more puzzles in Anniversary which lead to more length.

In my opinion Legend is a good game but it lacks the difficulty that the first games had. I like the choice that you have with outfits and movement. I have to say the one thing that does bug is that the game is so easy and the bosses that fight are simple to defeat the difficulty doesn't change even when you change it in the menu option. I think that they should bring out a game that incorporates her new movement whilst still keeping the difficulty and mental aspects that it used to have.

I love tomb raider but this one is the best in my opinion, i liked all the choices eg outfits and weapons. I loved the house, how it was actually like a level on it's own, but it would have to be to make up the shortness of the rest of the game.

This was a commercial sell out-like matallica ditching their roots in the 90's and making shitty soft rock-the same applys here-literally all tomb raider elements that made the series so popular are removed from this turd of a game,sense of isolation-gone,sense of scale-gone,exploration-gone,ta­xing puzzles-gone and in its place hold you by the hand patronising linear shite gameplay and a controll sceme that is so far removed from tomb raider 1 that all thats now familliar is lara's breasts

Thank you for posting this. I agree completely. Tomb Raider just isn't there anymore. People who are ignorant of the franchise claim that Lara's bust was the main attraction of the early games. They don't realize how great the atmosphere and gameplay was. I mean I don't load up the first game every so often to look at those triangles trying to pass for female curves. I play it because it is an amazing game.

My purchase opf the original game was an accident-my girlfriend got me tomb raider thinking it was exhumed (sega saturn) and initially i was disappointed,MY GOD HOW WRONG I WAS TO FEEL THAT!!!!!!. From the moment you enter the mountain caves it was obvious this game was going to be special. All the sequels had their charms untill legend.Legend is sloppy,charecterless,soulless, no depth,solitude,atmosphere and literally every thing that made the original the classic it still is!

The gameplay was glitchy and the AI was bad. The sense of exploration was removed as the game was a very linear. If it was 2 hours of a good game I wouldn't complain. Its not.

The "extras" are a bunch of costumes and a few graphical cheats. Costumes are not enough to compensate for a painfully short game.

The fact that they changed the controls so much means it is not a tomb raider game anymore, it is a new franchise. If I wanted a new franchise I would buy into it, I wanted more of the same

I wouldnt play through the game, then play through it again to get the outfits, then play it again with the new outfits.. a new outfit isnt exactly something that makes me want to play a game a third time round.

The ps2 version is freaking awsome! Some of the best graphics you will ever see on the system. The gameplay is very responsive and framerates are smooth as glass. This is comeing from a tomb raider hater but legend is pretty damn good!
