How I wish I could have seen one of these shows. But I live/d on the opposite side of the country and wasn't even aware of the Wondermints then. Life is full of regrets.
The Wondermints have proven time and time again that they can do it all! While Xanadu is not a rock classic, this version is awesome - and Lisa Mychols is amazing. Enjoy this for what it is.
Always holding out litmus paper for great pop music, the guys in The Wondermints are always on target. There's irony in this folks. Stop the hate posts. Those of us who played in bands around this time found great songwriting in the schlock that came before. Heck, my act used to play "S.O.S." before it was cool. We knew it was cool to begin with.
who was that guy who caled the girls "back up" singers and then dissed them? what a fucking retard!!! Might i suggest a new hobby? Fuck you. This is awesome!
I was gonna say don't laugh.. seriously, she had a good band! I have 3 of her tracks in my ipod: Hopelessly Devoted To You, Magic, Suddenly, A little more Love. Bass player rules!!
I love this performance. Lisa sounds great here and it really seems like everyone is having fun. It makes me wish that you guys had recorded this track in the studio at some point.
My god the guys looked young here. They sure made a wise move though, by dumping these girls from the show, later on !! Ugh - they have worse back-ground singer voices than the Honeys did (no offence to Marilyn, Brian).
Incedible good band, as we all know! But you can see how good they are, with this live perfomance, filmed with a camera with a built-in microphone and yet - it still sounds great!
Spot on! I absolutely love this song!!!

The venue is the Irish Mist in Panorama City CA, and the gals are Lisa Mychols and Kim Fuelleman.

WELL DONE!! Better than the corny original, which certainly rang in my ears like a promotional theme for chewing gum.

You guys should have your balls cut off for playing this. The singer is kinda hot though. Hope one of you redeemed your manhood by doing her.

Okay, megainok, but that still doesn't answer my question. (And if that's really a guy, he's got some amazingly high pipes...)

I just turned on to Wondermints this year. Is there more from this performance? I'd *love* to see/hear it. And is that Lisa Mychols??!

This is incredible!!! And btw, the end of Mr. Blue Sky IS the outro of Concerto for a Rainy Day, which is the whole side of the album.

Good to see that the genius of Olivia Newton-Jon is appreciated in bars through-out the world!

I like the 'Concerto for a Rainy Day' outro at the end--Ole ELO and Wondermints!
