  • Hey, I actually got alll these movies on BD in one set as a present the end of last year.

I didn't have a single thing of X-Men yet, nothing on BD, nothing on DVD.

But it's this boxed "Ultimate Collection", released in The Netherlands, Germany, France and Canada.

Maybe you've seen it around, it's this black box with yellow details.

I kind of didn't think it really looked like the style of the films, like your BDs do, but then again, it kind of reminded me of the cartoon or something.

  • LOOOL I literally loled out loud (yes, that's double :P) in real life at 7:43.

"Step-by-step: How I fucked up this movie!"

    I wanna see that documentary...

Different question, not sure if I asked you before:

What do you think of all those included Digital Copies very few people actually use?

I mean, they started making these more environmentally friendly cases, but then they start making these ridiculous BD+DVD+DC+CDROM+CDi+LD+MD+VHS sets, which nobody needs and it only uses more material.

  • I hated X-Men 3. I couldn't stand it.

  • This man needs help.

  • @dku2018 With moving? Sure, thanks for offering! C'mon over!

  • @Zaranyzerak Zaranyzerak--543, Douchebag comment leavers 0 LOL the streak continues...

  • Hey I liked X3! how dare you! lol But great Video.

  • by the way, bryan singer was one of the producers for first class, just wanted to let you know if you still didnt know

  • sure, by the way I would rather watch X-men 3 several times than to watch that piece of shit abomination wolverine again, nice update though

  • @ExploitationJack Wolverine was AWESOME! except for deadpool. lol

  • @norseczar27 I disagree but yes, deadpool was the worst part of the film, and honestly I thought ryan reynolds would have made a great deadpool and in the beginning he showed promise, but by the end, they fucked his character up completely

  • The only reason I watch X3 is to see Bobby Drake finally turn in to his Iceman form when fighting Pyro, which I wish he had stayed in his ice form throw out the whole bad movie.

  • Zaranyzerak can you do a review of the xmen movies.

  • My opinion on the movies: X-Men 1.5: FUCKING AWESOME X-Men 2: Okay X-Men 3: FUCK THAT MOVIE X-Men Origins Wolverine: Good Cheesy Popcorn X-Men First Class: AWESOME ....My opinion on the continuation: The Wolverine: Hopeful X-Men Second and Third Class: Please don't fuck this up Fox X-Men 4: Kind of unnecessary... Thanks for giving us more information on this set. It's on my wishlist. Right now, I have the 1.5 Set, 2's 1-Disc, and the Blus you have for Wolverine and First Class.

  • Regarding X3 I'm the other way around. X3 is bearable while Wolverine is absolutely atrocious and one of the worst movies I've ever seen in a theater. Virtually every aspect of that movie is a failure. 1st Class is for me the best X movie yet except it isn't a prequel. It's a reboot as there are major inconsistencies compared to the others which is why it pisses me of that 1st Class was so unnecessarily inaccurate. That inaccuracy pissed me off in Singer's and it was sadly continued here.

  • x-men 3 sucked cause bryan singer and his whole crew went to do superman returns.

  • @HorrorMovieBuff666 Yeah, not to be a total fanboy or anything, but the guy is totally upheaving his entire life just to move closer to Rosie, so I don't know how you can accuse him of having his priorities mixed up. How things seem isn't always how they are.

  • i know from the que of you saying "alrighty" about 2 or 3 times (surprisingly only once this vid) that its time to recite your ending words. which i do in unison with you. "that's it from me to you for now, until next time thanks for watching... and sayonara."

  • Will you be doing a x-men animated complete series review or the x-men a wolverine cartoon?

  • Didn't David Hayter play the Guyver, In those 2 live action films

  • @prime251 He was in one of them - Guyver: Dark Hero.

  • I think that the first two X-Men films are fantastic, X-Men 3 is horrible, and I really liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I plan on picking up X-Men: First Class on Blu-Ray soon.

  • @HorrorMovieBuff666 Excuse me? Clearly you missed the part where I said I got a bunch of gift cards, that I got all the Boxing Week stuff dirt cheap, and that I just spent an entire week with my daughter. You also clearly missed the part about how the majority of updates from the past two months stretch back to MAY of 2011. It's not like I just went nuts and bought a gazillion things in a week. If my kid wasn't my top priority, I wouldn't be moving. Get your facts straight.

  • What do you think of the inconsistency with the other X Men movies for first class? If you didn't notice them, there's a lot of info out there on Google. It lead a lot of people (including me) to assume it must be a reboot, since it's like a piece from another puzzle when it comes to fitting with the other films. That would be a cool video topic if you did a full review of first class

  • I REALLY HATE sitckers on DVD/BLu Ray cases, especially slipcovers or cardboard cases.

  • Aaaaaah, you beat me to it.The released a Quadrilogy in the U.K the first for film for £10($15- $18) Love them all

  • can u do a video on terminator movies!!!!!???and t5!!!

  • Bryan Singer received story credit with Sheldon Turner (who co-wrote Up in the Air with Jason Reitman). Just so you're wondering. He was set to direct, but had a commitment to Warner Bros. for Jack the Giant Killer (which stars Nicholas Hoult [Beast in First Class]).

  • I should note that my edition of Wolverine was a Wal-Mart exclusive where you have a Combo Pack with a DVD (So it's an ultimate 3-Disc edition, lol). First Class is my fav now. Loved every minute. Least would be Wolverine for me cuz they had the gull to cast will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas (WHAT THE FUCK?!)

  • I still prefer the cartoon series or eating a jelly donut with sprinkles over the new movies.

  • Someone needs to get off their ass and write a deadpool script

  • Have you seen any of the Millennium Trilogy Zaranyzerak?

  • @Mankind081 I've seen the movie based on the book by John Varley and the TV series starring Lance Henriksen (both called Millennium, neither having anything to do with the other). Is there something else called Millennium I should know about?

  • @Zaranyzerak Yeah it's a trilogy of Swedish novels by the late Stieg Larsson. It consists of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.

The novels were adapted into three Swedish movies in 2009 and then David Fincher made an English language adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2011.

  • @Mankind081 Oooh, THAT one! No, haven't seen it yet. Really want to, though, it sounds awesome. I've got my eye on the extended version that was just released over here.

  • @Zaranyzerak You're in for a treat. The David Fincher version is amazing and even better than the original.

  • Mathew Vaugn is the guy who directed Kick_Ass if ya didn't know bud hence why it's pretty freckin good. Epic clander & update super jealous! Since I still need to get the trilogy & First Class myself.

  • Brett Ratner did Red Dragon aswell, that was a terrible film aswell apart from the first 10mins. That could of been so much better. Fuck you Brett.

  • I can'r find a special edition of First Class so makes that as a gift even more special

  • I think First Class is the best of them all followed by X-2. I need to re-watch X-1 in HD but I really don't like how Sabretooth was portrayed in that one. 1st half of X-men: Wolverine I don't think could have been any better, Deadpool aside it's a great movie.

  • Xmen Wolverine didn't do it for me and neither did 3. I will not buy any of them. How ever, I do own every episode in the 90's cartoon series!

  • Decent Price, I love cheap blu-rays.. or cheap games..

Last blu-ray I bought was.. erm.. Either Das Boot or Apocalypse Now! Good stuff good stuff!

  • I'm not really a fan of either X3 or Wolverine, but I got them in the UK's blu-ray "quadrilogy" set for a good price. I've yet to see First Class, I'm sure I'll pick it up in the next few months.

I'm looking forward to getting To Kill a Mocking Bird in a few weeks. Nice digibook too, just hope Universal don't f**k up the transfer.

I got some more of the Futurama DVD sets this week, so now have seasons/volumes 1-4 & the straight to DVD films, I'll probably try and get s/v 5+6 on blu-ray

  • I actually just have the films with out having the boxset I love x-men first class and x-men origin wolverine its a great set

  • What free comics did you pick?

  • What free comics did you pick?

  • X-Men First Class was really good, but I hated all the continuity errors to the first 3 movies. The movie had way too many errors.

  • The one issue I had with First Class was that it felt like the film itself was unsure whether it wants to be a prequel or a reboot.

  • I don't blame Brett Ratner entirely for X3 sucking as bad as it did. I blame Bryan Singer for leaving to direct Superman Returns. Ratner just got thrust into a movie that was halfway done, and had to start over.

In a way, it could also be said Singer ruined two superhero franchises (leaving X-men and killing off Cyclops because Jason Marsden was to be SR, and making Superman Returns suck worse than X3.).

  • X2 is my personally fave.

  • @itsfrank0 Oh by the way Frank, just wanted to mention - Rosie LOVES The Pebble and the Penguin! She watched it about 4 times during her last visit. It's become her new favorite penguin movie. :)

  • I liked First Class alot, great movie! But can someone tell me if it actually is a prequel to the original X-Men movie from 2000, because if it is so, they've made a few mistakes. Because in the X-men movie from 2000, Charles says he meet Eric when he was 17 and later in the movie, he tries to read Eric's mind, but can't because he has the helmet on and he says to Jean that the helmet must be blocking his telepathy!

  • where d'u get all the money from,Sean?,,we do luv the show though.

  • @Warren111able My finances, my business. But if you must know, gift cards.

  • @Zaranyzerak

I know what you mean my sister bought t hat trilogy I feel so bad for here. The poor mon got the home alone quadrilogy including taking back the house. It's horrible not only is Kevin not play by MC. Colie Cokin. He and buzz is the same age in it. There parents are divorced there no harry only marvel his girlfriend played by some else. it stinks.

  • @itsfrank0 By this point, I'd rather they just start fresh. Though it'll be hard to find someone as good as Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine...

  • @Zaranyzerak Hugh Jackman will still play Wolverine if they do go forward

  • X-Men III. A shining example where the special features are far better than the film itself. Not that those features are worth the price of admission; they really aren't. But it just goes to show how frustratingly poor X3 was.

If you haven't, check out my review for First Class on G33K-E, and read what I thought of Kevin Bacon's "pimp-suit performance". Well, if you want to.

  • I can't enjoy First Class as a prequel because it's continuity with X-Men (2000) is horrible! I tend think of it more as a reboot to a new series (or even just a stand-alone movie) and that way I find more enjoyment out of it.

  • Your hatred for the third X-men movie pleases me haha. And I couldn't agree more!

  • Singer was involved with First Class quite a bit actually.

  • @13evilpriest13 I know, seems like every other person is mentioning that...he wasn't listed on the box, so I thought maybe I was mis-remembering which movie he was involved in. I realize now I wasn't and it was First Class. CAN WE ALL MOVE ON NOW???

  • @Zaranyzerak oh I hadnt read anyone elses comments. Yeah theres a bunch of cool stuff in the special features about Matthew Vaughn and Singer meeting etc. The making of stuff on that set is pretty great

  • @Zaranyzerak He was listed on the box! I know, I know, moving on...

  • @MrAsm195 I am now that I know that. I didn't pay much attention to the credits of Kick Ass, only seen it once so far.

  • Glad you got First Class, it is my favourite super hero film :) Fassbender is magnetic! (pun intended)

  • wow that was almost like an Arnold J Rimmer salute at the end

  • sean my only problems with the wolverine film is the bullet thing at the end and what they did to deadpool and the lab scene were he got his metal bones did not match up to what we learned in x-1 and 2. for gods sake the set in Wolverine did not even match the one he finds 15 years later in x-2. i so agree with your views on x-3 100%.

  • That was a very nice update. Thank you.

  • evil dead blu-ray yet? just picked it up and it seems pretty good. this happens to be my forth "the evil dead" edition so far

  • @AV32productions No. And yes, apparently it's fantastic. Ditto the new 25th Anniversary edition of Evil Dead 2. I'll get them eventually.

  • Since you got X-Men 3 for free, you should just get rid of it. Just saying because its a worthless piece of crap and it's not worth owning in your beautiful DVD/Blu-Ray collection.By the way, Bryan Singer's recent movie he directed was Valkyrie back in 2008 with Tom Cruise.

  • @DANIELDUDE1000 Nah, then the other two would be all leaning over in the box and stuff. Plus as much as I despise it, I'm an obsessive completist.

  • @Zaranyzerak Fair enough. I'm probably the same way too with the some of the dvds or blurays in my collection. For instance as much as i'm not a fan of the third godfather movie or the second indiana jones movie i keep them in the box set anyway because like you i dont want the movies to lean over. But hey despite having X men 3 you at least have a bunch of extras to watch at how they destroyed this movie.

  • I understand you're "not married to the comic book continuity" but didn't in it bother you that it didn't follow the movie continuity either as it contradicted many elements of the previous films?

  • @MovieDemon Watch my rant. I didn't mind it in the first 2 as at least they were consistent with each other, and while they didn't strictly follow the comics they FELT right. The third wasn't even consistent with the previous MOVIES, let alone the fact that it shat all over the comics.

  • @Zaranyzerak First Class and Origins were consistent enough with the other movies for me (I didn't mind that they actually decided to retroactively make Sabretooth INTELLIGENT in Origins, instead of the monosyllabic animal in the first movie). The only issue I had with Wolverine, as I said in the video, was how they completely fucked up Deadpool. First Class I had no major issues with.

  • @Zaranyzerak I'm sorry, I should have made myself more clear. My comment was in regards to 'First Class,' not 'The Last Stand'.

  • "Dont rip into mystique that's my job"

    No that's my job

  • @Tylerd172 When she asked Xavier, "Would you date me looking like this?" I immediately yelled at the screen, "Hell yes!!! Blue is BEAUTIFUL!"

  • while I didn't like X3 as much as the first two, i did enjoy for what it is, action pack film. Kitty Pryde, Storm leading the X-men, Beast. Also I don't really blame Ratner, since he says the writers schooled him in on X-men and basically helped him to direct the film. He says that on audio commentary. Ratner did a good job with Red Dragon, so I don't question his role as a director.

  • Doug Walker (aka Nostalgia Critic) considered X-Men: The Last Stand his most Underrated film of all time. I don’t hate X3 but underrated… really dude.

My thoughts on the X-Men films:

    X1: Kind of good.

    X2: Fantastic.

    X3: Meh.

    XFC: Really good.

  • @TheMantaBluRay Yeah, as much as I enjoy NC's humor, I find I agree with his reviews less and less lately. And often find his reasoning...questionable.

  • I can't stand X-MEN 3 either...it was such a let down. Great update as always.

  • according to wiki Singer did produce First Class and came up with the story. Matthew Vaughn directed First Class who also directed Kick-Ass.

  • I have the First Class blu ray with the Magneto in the front of the slip cover, because it was the only one available at $19.95 when I saw it at the store.

  • Singer produced First Class.

  • @xShineyxDiverx Scroll down. Someone already beat you to it.

  • I bought the X-men trilogy on blu ray about about the same price. It was $24.95 where I bought it, but I also had like $5 gift certificate.

  • I heard that First Class is reboot the franchise, hence they could've used the original X-men team from the comic. But I did enjoy First Class. Bacon was awesome as a villain.

  • It's X-Men: United, not X-Men: Unlimited.

  • @tippytop7 Whatever. Slip of the tongue, not the end of the world, and most likely not the last. How about the OTHER 19 minutes and 15 seconds of the video?

  • @Zaranyzerak Haha I didn't mean to come off as a jerk :D

  • @DarknessGotham1 That's what I thought, oddly his name doesn't seem to appear on the case anywhere...

  • @Zaranyzerak Check again...

  • @dtotheanielip1 Yes, I see it now. I did say "seemed," meaning I simply didn't see it at the time. The credits are printed hella small on the case...

  • i watch you too much i knew exactly what you'd say "i didn't pay for x3 i bought 1 and 2 and 3 was free" lol

  • Bryan Singer went and did Superman...which also sucked. Maybe not as much, but sucked nonetheless.

  • @VictoryOnTheHill Yep. He should've stuck with X-Men.
