(cont) before kindergarten. Yoriko thought that the hospital became before kindergarten and had no friends. She sent letters to her friends in the hospital. Years passed and her mother escorted Yoriko to the kitchen for a talk when she was in Middle school. Her mother said that all her friends died of cancer. Of course Yoriko kept playing the piano and at 15 her musical talent was found. Then, around the age of 20 she fell. There was something wrong with her ovaries, but she still wrote songs!

I watched Yoriko's sad child hood story on TV last night in Japan. She was diagnosed with cancer at only the age of 2. She had many friends with the same diagnosis at the hospital and would always play "Hospital." Then, one day an elder lady sang her a song and Yoriko came up to a piano in the lobby and played it. Her friends were surprised and called her talented. Later, she came back home because she was cured. She was lonely in kindergarten because all the other students were at preschool.
