hey guys, I have a question. Just last year I started watching Miyizaki's movies starting with Princess Mononoke. I haven't seen Totoro yet, but I heard it was a classic. However, when I went to look it up in amazon I learned that there were several different versions. To anybody who has seen both versions, can you tell me which one is the best. The 2010 dvd or the 2006 dvd? Or if it doesn't matter which one?

-It's not because it sucks.

-After having watched Spirited Away tens of times, loved Howl's Moving castle and Princess Mononoke who have all made me really emotional somehow and really touched me, I'm not sure if I want to take on another movie like that...

@ADDodger it's one of the first miyazaki's movie so it's not so graphically well made, it's just cute and there's not a deep story behind it, I watched like a million times in my childhood and I loved because there's no villain, there' no drama, it's just happiness most of the time and it's the movie that make people go after other studio ghibli movies

Give it a try, you won't regret it because it's so much lighter than the others you quoted

Did anybody ever have the original English dub on VHS when they were little? Because I tried watching the newer, Fanning sister overdub and it was terrible! Or at least, I couldn't make any sense of it. It was just so weird. So now I'm on the hunt for a VHS player just to watch the movie. Haha.
