@Dairek81 Kamemon and the 2 PawnChessmon weren't really main digimon though. In past seasons not all the main digimon hit a max level that others in the same season did.

I think that people liked the first season and what it was, and that to have a more or less remake of the same idea is what bothers them about this series. They compare the two and see only faults in this one because it doesnt match the first season. For me the first season was and still is my fav. so the remake(ish) data squad doesnt appeal to me as well.

(the Garuru & Gao lines both go through Champion=Wolf, Ultimate=Werewolf, and the Palmon & Lalamon lines both do the Champion=Plant, Ultimate=Fairy)
(No offense to the Wargreymon fans, its not that I'm saying that Wargreymon isn't a badass, but it's just that in my opinion, when you compare the two, Shingreymon is what you'd expect a mega level digimon to be.)
But yes, Omnimon is, always has been, and will always be the most badass digimon ever made.

@jkrisko123 I counter with MagnaAngemon, or possibly the troll that is terriermon, however dub of gaomon gets bonus points for reminding me of Might Guy every time he says anything, not really sure how to count anyone from season 4 protagonist wise, although metalkabuterimon was possibly my favorite of the human/beast spirits (non fusion, lets not go there yet) the problem though is many of the designs over the seasons are all really nice

I loved this season. The only thing I didn't like about were the Mega's designs. ShineGreymon...yuck! I wish they used VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon like in the Next manga.

If they kept the characters from all the way in Adventure? They'd be OLD BY THEN.

@1233dragon1233 actually the changing into digimon for the protagonists of frontier turned the series into a character development/study kind of like what all the other seasons were, except rather than relying on their partners power, they had to rely on their own or each others, kind of reminds me of my argument for "why 5ds doesn't suck" simply because of the addition of motorcycles, then i have to end this statement by asking what you thought of the mega forms from the third season

@TheGloryXros what made the development turn weak was overpowering the two, if they had done things like have the other four kids pick up the spirits of the four defeated heroes, and had not turned pretty much all their focus on just the two then it would not have undone the work the previous episodes did, falls into the classic "if only they had/made more eps they could have properly stretched things out to what they needed", the later eps seemed to have different pacing, but overall still good

@darkness71598 But when Agumon and Gabumon warp digivolved, they skipped 2 stages (technically 3 for Agumon, seeing as he had Skullgreymon as well as Metalgreymon). That was a simple warp, so "double warp" would be 4 stages, which CAN'T happen, because there are only 3 stages above Rookie. The only "known stages" past Mega is technically speaking, "DNA Digivolution" (into Omnimon) and "Legendary", which wasn't released until a later season, so that doesn't count. There's only 3 real stages.

People annoy me when they say "Ugh, this season is WAY better than THAT season! Compared to THIS season, THAT one sucks!" and stuff like that. They are ALL interesting in their own ways and they're ALL worth watching.
I may not be the biggest fan of Xros Wars, but I do still find it worthwhile.

I don't get what half of you mean by this season being modernized, there have been mecha digimon since season one. Rosemon is a season one digimon, it's palmon's mega, miragegaogamon is a knight digimon. Anyone remember omnimon and gallantmon, they were knights too. Shinegreymon looks like an armoured dragon to me. So does imperialdramon dragon mode. I'm gonna get thumbed down i know^^'' I just wanted to point out a flaw in the argument you all are putting forward about this modernisation :P

Oh.. my... god. Bring the hate because quite frankly, this season can kiss my ass. Digimon is getting worse, Season 1-3 was best. Afterwards, they kind of fed off the scraps. Fuck "Shinegreymon".... "double warp digivolve" and shit like this.... Wargreymon, Metal Garurumon and Omnimon = beasts.

I loved this season. The only thing I didn't like about were the Mega's designs. ShineGreymon...yuck! I wish they used VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon like in the Next manga.

@TheDarkside1775 Umm....no, it isn't. You should know that each Series except Adventure=>ZeroTwo and XrosWars=>Hunters have different storylines, different universes, and different rules. Digimon made itself out to be a Series that would not stay the same all throughout. Besides, think about it. If you dont like the fact that they change all the time, then just WHAT WOULD satisfy you? If they kept the characters from all the way in Adventure? They'd be OLD BY THEN.

I REALLY do not see why people hate this Series so much. I can understand why they hate Frontier & Xros Wars, cuz they take new spins on the franchise(even though personally they arent bad, either)
But this Series should have Digimon fans GLAD that they returned to their roots. Yet people hate this Series for NO APPARENT REASON. If anyone who does hate this Series can explain to me WHY...if it's just cuz of nostalgic reasons from Adventure, then sorry, but that's just RETARDED.

@gamemaster613 By "returning to its roots" I meant as in, it went back to pretty much the basic "Human & Partner team where they just plain ol' Digivolve without any huge gimmicks" just like Adventure. If you're complaining that it's not Adventure, just WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?!! Of course it's not gonna be like Adventure, cuz Adventure ended! In fact, you can blame ZeroTwo's Epilogue as the reason why we can't get anymore continuations off of Adventure. Give the new Series a chance. They dont suck.

@TheGloryXros it was actually a nice little twist after the season before it, and rather than humanizing them by having them partner up with a digimon (and open plot holes mind you) it actually dehumanized kurota more and made them into sort of tragic characters

@1233dragon1233 actually the changing into digimon for the protagonists of frontier turned the series into a character development/study kind of like what all the other seasons were, except rather than relying on their partners power, they had to rely on their own or each others, kind of reminds me of my argument for "why 5ds doesn't suck" simply because of the addition of motorcycles, then i have to end this statement by asking what you thought of the mega forms from the third season

@TheGloryXros what made the development turn weak was overpowering the two, if they had done things like have the other four kids pick up the spirits of the four defeated heroes, and had not turned pretty much all their focus on just the two then it would not have undone the work the previous episodes did, falls into the classic "if only they had/made more eps they could have properly stretched things out to what they needed", the later eps seemed to have different pacing, but overall still good

Warp Digivolving simply means they skip a stage, at least now. The first season is the odd one out, ironically.
Angemon Warp Digivolved to Seraphimon. So Double Warp does make sense, should you ignore the first season.

@darkness71598 But when Agumon and Gabumon warp digivolved, they skipped 2 stages (technically 3 for Agumon, seeing as he had Skullgreymon as well as Metalgreymon). That was a simple warp, so "double warp" would be 4 stages, which CAN'T happen, because there are only 3 stages above Rookie. The only "known stages" past Mega is technically speaking, "DNA Digivolution" (into Omnimon) and "Legendary", which wasn't released until a later season, so that doesn't count. There's only 3 real stages.

People annoy me when they say "Ugh, this season is WAY better than THAT season! Compared to THIS season, THAT one sucks!" and stuff like that. They are ALL interesting in their own ways and they're ALL worth watching.
I may not be the biggest fan of Xros Wars, but I do still find it worthwhile.

I love Frontier. xD Third, maybe second favorite season.
But yes, Shinegreymon is just as good. xP I personally like Wargreymon better, but he's pretty cool too. Just on looks. But I bet Shinegreymon's the stronger one. ;}

I don't get what half of you mean by this season being modernized, there have been mecha digimon since season one. Rosemon is a season one digimon, it's palmon's mega, miragegaogamon is a knight digimon. Anyone remember omnimon and gallantmon, they were knights too. Shinegreymon looks like an armoured dragon to me. So does imperialdramon dragon mode. I'm gonna get thumbed down i know^^'' I just wanted to point out a flaw in the argument you all are putting forward about this modernisation :P
