Well, Basically these changes are basically a big improvement (or not so much) and there's the fact they sorta beta-tested it before they launched it officially.

I have been using the new Facebook for a while since it opened up to developers. It's not too bad. I like the feed in my feed and the grouping of subjects for comments. Hate the new chat and the big picture at the top is awkwardly long so it's difficult to find a good picture to go there. Also the two columns are kind of annoying and I don't like the bubbly layout of everything but the timeline function is really cool.
