I love animals, and i dont stand animal abuse, Im not against vegans, but why no eat eggs or milk?? Thats what god gave us from the animals that along with the vegetable and fruits make a healthy living, also fur from sheep doesnt actually need killing them, so that are our resources why not use wisely....
@Simplayer1 god would not want people to be using and abusing animals the way that we are. billions of animals a year? that's not natural. it's not only harming the animals but our planet, and ourselves. our health is declining rapidly. wool from sheep does often kill them and huge chunks of their skin are cut out when they are being sheered. the majority of "farms" anymore in the world are not small, they are factories. thousands and thousands of animals killed daily.

@brittyn Animals, dont think, they dont have souls, is not a sin to kill them, as I said I dont stand animal abuse but why the bees make honey? or why even cheetahs eat gazelles or zebras. They have to do it to survive, and gos gave us the intelligence to do it, to survive is our instict, this day I know that farms are doing really bad things and how they do it is wrong, but sadly it is what it is.
@Simplayer1 even though you don't believe that they think or have souls, does not give us the right to abuse and torture them for the entirety of their lives. it is not only hurting animals but the planet and our bodies too. are you comparing humans to cheetahs? do you know there are herbivorous animals? not all animals kill other living beings to survive. we are not acting on instinct when we buy a steak at a restaurant, or pull into a mcdonald's drive-thru.
@sunflowerbc it may not be hurting the eggs but it definitely is hurting the hen that laid the egg. they are stuffed into cages with no room to walk around, have to stand on one another, can never see daylight, etc. please check out the documentary called fowl play, it is a true eye opener!
@brittyn Very Very true. I watched a gruesome video on the PETA sight and I will never forget it. I shed a tear and almost threw up. It killed me to know how animals are being treated. I watched this 8 years ago and became vegetarian because of it ;>
@mazellan819 lactose can come from vegetables, but you're right that whey is always a product of milk. regular oreos in the US are vegan though, they differ from country to country.
@brittyn, you are mistaken. First, I live in the US and there is a difference lactose and lactic acid. Lactose is derived from milk products only. Lactic acid can be derived from fermented plant material. The reason. It is called "lactic" acid is because it was discovered in milk and is produced by bacteria and not the milk. Every package of oreos I have read in the US contain both whey and lactose (not lactic acid) and are most defiantly products of milk.

I am a vegan because: Better healf. Better theeth Better life style. Better shape. Better sleep. Better....(can't say that on Youtube) Save money. Save cooking time. Save toilet paper ;o) Save doctors expenses. I dont realy care about killing animals.
Most of hot chicks are vegetrian/ vegan. All the fat big ass beached whale bitches are meat eaters!! same for the guys. All the big ass fat slobs are meat eaters.
Actually, jello (gelatin) is no longer made using animal byproduct. Most companies today use pectin from fruit and plants or a synthetic form not derived from animals. When I worked in the food industry, all of our gelatin was plant-based. That is one thing you can add back to the 'eat' list.
Untrue. Jello is still made from animal products. It is true that there are vegetarian alternatives, but Jello brand still uses gelatin. And, gelatin is the animal-based stuff. Gelatin substitutes might use pectin but generally use a seaweed called agar. You still need to check labels, and if it's labeled "gelatin" it is animal-derived.
a bit angry? Is there any need? Were not all preaching that everybody should become vegetarian or vegan its my choice if Im vegan or meat eater and the same goes for you but I dont spit at you like you just did in the previous post. At the end of the day we all have to live on this planet together so a bit of understanding and agreeing to disagree would do us all good I feel.
you smug sanctimonious vegans delude yourselves thinking eating animal products is wrong. how do you suppose we got this far without b12 supplements? the rational position is to take in protein from animals treated humanely but you do-gooders can't wrap your tofu-clogged craniums around that one can you. the sad, cruel fact, kids, is that something has to die for something to live. go chew on that for awhile.
Vitamin B12 comes from bacteria, neither plants nor animals can make it. When animals eat particles of soil along with grass or feed the vitamin ends up in their flesh, milk, and eggs. Vegans don't have a way of measuring the amount of B12 on their unwashed produce and cannot rely on bottled and chlorinated water. Thats why they have to supplement with fortified foods.
Okay Brittyn... Why honey... I didn't think of bees as a animal... I have been eating Go Lean Cruch honey and Almond Flax...
It never ever crossed my mind that honey is not vegan... aw man... I have been so proud of myself stopping cold tu... cold carrot from the day we met...
you know what BrianPsychicBabystar - I found honey really easy to let go of because there are lots of other things you can eat instead that are even more yummy like agave nectar, molasses, and ESPECIALLY MAPLE SYRUP!!!! mmmmmmaple syrup. In rice cream cereal. oh yah.
great video! im a vegan now, im 16 it took me awhile. i actually am officaly a vegan as of last week. it was a long process cause my mom doesnt support me but i dont care what people think, i want to be healthy and i love animals. also dairy is like the worst thing for the body, and i was getting really sick and i went through something really traumatic which made me turn vegan. its the best thing i have ever done, i feel more beautiful, more alive, my acne went away i lost weight!
RawGirl25 you are why this video was done! I am sure that Brittyn will respond to your comment.. Brittyn said that parents are like that... just know that you are doing a great thing...
i was lucky that my mom was supportive of me.. i know it is tough when you're still living at home but it ultimately is your choice what you eat. so congrats on being vegan!!
Nice job on this interview! You asked good questions, in a non-judgemental way, and just let her talk. I don't think she's annoying, she's just answering questions you asked her, not like she's walking around with a sign trying to convert people. oh wait, there's the necklace... and the tatoo ... ok, fine, well she's entitled to her lifestyle, go in peace ... I'm going for a burger now...
there are very extreme and graphic/disturbing shirts out there that some people wear to get the message across. sometimes i am tempted to wear things like that, because a lot of people are too scared to learn the facts on their own.. but i don't..
guskaynine... You think so?... Sometimes people are uncomfortable because they arent use to being on camera... Brittyn didn't know that she would be doing videos about being Vegan...
Unless you are annoyed with Vegans/vegetarian in general? it was early in the morning on her Birthday... wait... lol... are you just messing with me... take care
You are doing well... people are looking... I hope that I put your videos under the right tag Vegan/Vegetarian or Health or?... It seems to be fine...
lol.. she is a friend.. and i didnt even think my comment posted. I was just giving her a hard time. I want to delete that comment cuz she really isnt annoying or weird lol.
oh why I aught ta! Thanks guskaynine for clearing that up... please tell all Brittyn did a great job and was so easy to talk to. Plus she looks great on tape...
