Where'd you get the shield you have equipped?

Thanks I'm trying the whole game at SL1 and already having trouble ringing the bells of awakening and since both the bosses guarding them do fire damage it's a great shield as it does a 85% resistance , one of the best shields in the game for fire.

You should also do a suicide run in the graveyard for zweihander(i think that's how its spelled)and the winged spear

sorry for sounding dumb but i'm confused i have a longsword that is +5 but i just got this sword as well this has 80 magical attack does that add alot more damage does it even effect weapon damage please give advice if possible.

@tinygiggla magic attack is weapon damage, just not mitigated by physical resistances. At the same time the power of the weapon scales with a different stat, since the astora sword is a divine weapon, the magic damage will increase with the Faith stat. While a regular upgraded sword will scale damage with strength and dex i think. It's been awhile since i played the game, i might be wrong.

@tinygiggla press y or triangle to view more stats and you should see your right and left weapon damage, there you can decide which weapon does more overrall damage after the param scales are calced in.

Can you upgrade the dragon crest shield like a usual shield (hollow shield f.e.) with the small titanite shards (for the begin).

@TherealChoGath nah, unique shields like the dragon crest one use Twinkling Titanite to upgrade.

@analogmarz It doesnt take that long and give you a massive advantage at the beginning of the game. Levels you up and gives you all the same stuff + more. I just dont understand why anyone would use this tactic. (Its a good vid though, i like the quality and the com is good)

@analogmarz We'll you could use firebombs, only need like 30-35 of them(to count for misses), costs max 2k <- meaning it's a 1k profit, all you gotta do is a low bit of farming. So it's not that hard to get even at soul level 3.

@SknLoliSenpai yeah i'm not saying it can't be done, just a bit inefficient with time, you can probably be done with half of undead burg instead of trying to play around with this guy at such a low soul level. Experienced players who want to min max, sure go kill him, it's a nice boost. But newer players probably won't have the skillset to actually melee him properly or have the knowledge of where to get arrows or firebombs etc.

@analogmarz A fairly good point, doh most would naturally go towards undeadberg before meeting him in the first place(and thus gotten firebombs) <- it's like 2.2 or 2.3k souls to get enough firebombs as stated, and I killed him like that on my first play trough actually(doh I was level 10 about that time).

i was thinking of getting this games i got few question now when u get killed do u louse your body till u go wee u got killed 2 get it back and 2nd of all what class do u recommend 2 use u got 2 vid for a hammer and a good shield/sword is it the same class and is there online mode

@JHgamer101 death is a bit different in dark souls, you still lose all your souls and humanity points when you die, and if you really want them back you have to go back to where you died. You just don't lose half your health when you are undead(hallowed) form. Honestly though, i saw your other comments, if you really hated Demon's Souls, this will be a very similar game.

Nice guide, man. Only one question- where is the second wooden bridge in the Valley of Drakes? I've been looking around, but all I see is the guarded entrance to Blighttown and some deadfalls...
