@ShiteyFilms Because from a 99 cent download, iTunes gives only 10 cents to the artist. Because iTunes doesn't support lossless quality audio (or even full quality mp3s). Because in the age of the internet, I would argue that the majority of an artist's income doesn't come from music sales, but from gigs and merchandise.
