  • because else, i'd say, the man who made that video, is worth like over 9000 !!!!

  • the man who did that video, is respectable on 100000 ways

  • "Invension of the moon bases"?

Also, the BFG can be fired better than that :) Devastating in multiplayer!

  • Daisy noooo!!!!

  • I rather just equiped the Plasma Gun and go straight to the last boss and kill him quickly.

But Overall Doom is a good game and sometimes finding keys can get a bit boring, and most of the time I always use the shotgun. Plus I love how you can save anywhere in this game and name your save files.

  • @Kevinjamesprojects You'd probably like doom for blackberry playbook, then.

  • @Kevinjamesprojects plasma gun didnt come untill doom 3

  • @d1234583 are you kidding us? because if you're not, you're so damn wrong

  • @d1234583 @1codcod

Indeed. Weapon number 6 here is the well-known Plasma gun ("Plasma Rifle").

  • @RadioactiveG Yes I know, I've been playing this game since I was 5 years old

  • @RadioactiveG .... ohh.... well, i never did use it, no wonder why i didnt know it was there! OMFG IM SO FUCKING STUPID.

  • FYI, the Doom movie is a prequel to the original videogames.

  • Sniper Shotgun away

  • Rabbit`s head on a stick? :L

  • The smoke seems to have faces in it.

  • PROTIP: To defeat the cyberdemon, shoot at it until it dies.

  • Epic!!!

  • better than halo shit.

  • @CydexaN halo was more or less based on this game

  • @faroutnowhereman69 not at all loloolololololo

  • apparently this disturbing ending was LEFT IN chex quest if you went to a doom level. now that would scare some kids

  • oh wow.... the graphics xDDD just played Crysis 2 compare them xD

  • Wait... so theres no end boss in the first doom game?

  • @TheRealBossman12 yes the spidermaster mind is the end boss in doom

  • @SplatterdaySaints Well the spidermaster mind has to be the easiest end boss in DOOM I can see why I love the ICON OF SIN so much.

  • @TheRealBossman12 yeah "final boss" was so much more difficult unless you used no clip and took out john romeros head lol

  • @TheRealBossman12 The big spider guy.

  • @iru1e I figured that out a month ago and the official name for the spider guy is "The Spider mastermind" And by the wait the spider mastermind is a FEMALE.

  • @TheRealBossman12 Okay jeez. Sorry bro. Just trying to answer a question. It's not like I'm a genius at this stuff.

  • They wasted a rabbit to complete this game

  • Yeah, those were the good old times when random pixels were still scary!

  • i hate bunnies... jst saying

  • never played this version

  • it takes the awesomeness of Serge to kill the killer rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail ;)

  • I love how the music at the end sounds like something out of Oregon Trail. Back to basics lol

  • @armedangel98 holy shit i remember that game from the late 80's wow takes me back

  • @SplatterdaySaints i have it on a cdrom, used to play it all the time, that and I Spy and marbles.. lol

  • @armedangel98 marbles was the shit

  • @SplatterdaySaints yes it was! lol do you remeber that game where you played a female spy? i dont remember the name of it exactly, but it was really cool, my cousin played it all the time

  • Respond to this video... and then theres Myst and Duke Nukem (my dad played those, plus Doom, hence the reason i watch these videos), *sighs* i remember the good old days lol

  • @armedangel98 hell yeah i remember playing wolfenstien 3d when it came out i had an old 486 sx pc and it ran every thing you could throw at it it and 16 mb of ram and a dual speed cd rom lol my my how things have changed

  • Beat the last level without even leaving that room? Wow.

  • that bunny is actually the doom guys pet she's called daisy i bet that pissed him off

  • One of the best endings to game ever! That bunnies creepy. But the end boss sucks hell on earth has a better one!

  • haha i probably will recognize these sounds until the end of my life

  • Comment removed

  • lol i played this about 1000 times but have never seen that one before

  • CANT GET THAT BUNNYS HEAD ON A BLOODY STICK OFF MY HEAD!!!

  • that is not the real ending

  • WHAT???? HE KILLED THE BUNNY???? :O And at 2:14 it sounds like I'm playing one of the Pokemon games

  • Wait. Why's your midi music sound more archaic? I was really young when I played this often... Didn't it have to do with your PC's sound card? I remember older PC's have Midi music sounding almost 8-bit depending on the card they had at the time. I just wanna make sure.

  • Oooh I'll miss the bunny :(

  • haha "idkfa"

  • Doom 1 is much better than Doom 2. Doom 1's were like ok, theres a vault here, how about we reward the player for killing the cacodemon with this?

    Doom 2's levels are

LETZ OVERUSE THIS PAIN ELEMENTAL ! LOLZ HOWZBOUT CYBER DEMON DER!!!!!! O WAIT GAIZ! I HAZ AN IDEA! LETS PUT ANOTHWER CYBERDEMON AND SPIDWERMASTR IN TEH SAME ROOM! O WAIT HOW BUT WE JUST MAKE 2 ENTIRE LEVELS THAT SPAM THE PLAYER JUST TO PISS THEM OFF?

Doom 2 is an awesome game, but the levels were reallllllllly annoying.

  • @Headcrabman99 You think doom2 levels were annoying just play plutonia experiment they just filled maps with tons of trap doors filled with hard enemies.

  • @chanze555 Been there, done that. "HELL LOAD" of monsters >:|

  • @Headcrabman99 I agree with you!

You forgot the earth cities that look medieval for no reason and the bad gameplay of said levels... Yeah Doom takes place centuries in the future and everything's wood and gargoyles.

How about the final boss, who is a WALL!

Doom 2 still had good levels though. Mostly the first few. I liked it's monsters too.

  • @theant1987 I was planning to put all of that in the comment. But character limit :P

  • @theant1987 You know the REAL final boss, right? No wall at all...Romero's head on a stake! That's what you're hitting with splash damage when you shoot the rocket's into the demon's head.

  • @amimizunofan22 That is an easter egg. John Romero is not the final boss. John Romero is basically a hit box and a speaker behind a wall. When you kill the John Romero hit box, the big wall monster dies.

And before you mention it, I know about his 4th wall-breaking backwards message.

  • @theant1987 Well, when you put it that way, I suppose you could argue either way (in which case, it wouldn't surprise me if there were stupid flame wars surrounding the issue). Touché.

  • i never realized how far doom came from being all cruddy and non-scary looking to an almost have a heart attack scary!

  • thats a big fucking gun

  • ...THAT FUCKING SUCKED XD

  • "After the huge Spiderdemon that masterminded the invasion is destroyed in the final mission, a hidden doorway back to Earth opens for the hero, who has "proven too tough to be contained". In the game's final cutscene, the camera pans over a verdant field complete with flowers and bunny rabbits, only to reveal a burning city and a bunny's head impaled on a stake: the demons have invaded Earth, obviously paving the way for Doom II." -Wikipedia

That's why the bunny's head was pwnd.

  • Meet the Sniper with Shotgun

  • waths with the bunny head isin doomguys hand ?

  • ahhh man, as many say - brings back the memories. i definitely remember the rabbit's head, that shit was fucked.

i got my mom to buy me doom when it came out because it was rated M and they wouldn't sell it to me :) that was before the public at large actually knew what esrb ratings meant

  • that rabbit on the stick disturbed me

  • that part with the rabbit is disturbing

  • @pocketguns2 I got disturbed too

  • nice vid, nice game.i cant finish the final boss though...

  • everytime you play a different doom game, you alwasy see a different ending level :[

  • LOL at shooting that far away with a shot gun, I dont think shots can actually travel that far and certainly not that close together.

  • @shakybones007

LOL, yeah, it probably didn't touch it at all...

  • @shakybones007 You have to Believe!

  • @shakybones007 Looks like you don't know much about shotguns.

  • @shakybones007

In the DOOM universe the shotgun fired six bullets, equivalent to six pistol shots. Don't ask me why I know this - it's a mis-spent youth 8-)

The bullets travelled until they hit an object - there is no maximum range. The six bullets had a tight grouping at close range but diverged with distance from the player. Shooting at a target at that distance you could still hit something.

  • @shakybones007 i love the shotgun in doom. It's a dam sniper rifle. can really hit anything at the right ange no matter how far. I use the Shotgun 98.57% of the time.

  • MY BUNNY!! YOU ARE GONNA DIE FOR THAT*shoots TheMisterCat with a bfg 9000

  • Imagine how upsetting it would have been had all of Doom just ended there, without the 4th episode and Doom 2 having you save Earth.

  • i loved this part i burst out laughing when i played this as a kid! haha kinda sick.... :)

  • Protip: Demons have a weakness for killing bunnies. Bring lots of bunnies.

  • when I was 4 I had it on pc and I played it day after day and when I finnished it I was so scared at night I was for about 3 months (no joke) I was even more scared when a played doom 64 ohhh don't even make me go there:)

  • Protip: use the bfg's tracers (it fires tracers on impact) to kill the mastermind way faster. Even if you miss it with the bfg balls themselves, the mastermind still should get an awful lot of damage with the tracers.

  • cool

  • man, apparently EVERYONE has played this when they were kids

  • when i first had this game i was like 5 i was scared to death when i played it at first but i lost it now =(

  • This ending traumatized me as a kid.

  • i Play Doom as Well

  • was he really that easy?

  • I was to afraid to even touch Doom as a kid

  • i was only afraid to play with monsters

  • I usually support the freedom of speech, but this has gone too far... Please don't pollute my comments area.

    Thank you.

[On a side note relevant to the comments that were deleted: strafing IS an essential part of the gameplay, the game IS much easier when you master it, and your left hand fingers are supposed to be on the strafe keys all the time. My own video might not show it, but it's because it was laggy and the gameplay isn't the actual purpose of it.]

  • I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me.

  • nice btw wat difficulty were u playing? and also what do you record your programs with? when i make doom videos they come out crappy and lag i use camstudio. and you should also check out my doom levels i made :D (i dont mean to spam)

  • Difficulty? Frankly I can't remember... Wasn't Nightmare I can tell you, neither the easiest one (the purpose however of this video was the show the aftermath scene, the battle is merely included).

DOSBox has a built-in recorder which I use in my videos.

  • @RadioactiveG How do you use the built-in recorder on DosBox? i wan't to make a video of me playing the entire 1st episode of Wolfenstein 3D :)

  • Ctrl+Alt+F5.

    Good luck!

  • @RadioactiveG Hi I have a dosbox with doom 1 and when I record the video in dosbox I go to my pc

local disk I give and I give oldgames and doom 1 and then I'll capture

what I mean is that when I press ctrl + alt + F5 recorded the video of the game but when I give doom 1 and I give and I capture the video to record I get in the audio file help please

  • About your video (levels you say? I saw only one), cute level you made there (you gotta learn to use the strafe keys... That's why you don't dodge well, it's essential part of the gameplay).

I'm not quite of a Doom fan. Mostly I respect the game for its place in the history. You can see that this is the only Doom video I have now among all my DOS games videos.

By the way, YouTube is LOADED with fanatic Doom fans videos. Some of them are quite interesting too.

  • oh i have mastered the strafe thats how im almost done with the 4th chapter in ultimate doom i dont use strafe unless i need it.

  • @RadioactiveG lolz have u ever tried to kill the spider mastermind with 1 shot from BFG

  • as ozzy osbourne

    jajaja

  • poor rabbit

  • Just installing the collectors edition, good times ahead!

  • Why didn't you just go kill the master mind immediately?

  • thats usually what I do.....Have too on nightmare anyways... BFG9000 in probably my best friend..

  • Memories.

    Holy shit I'm 31!

  • lol for ID making such a fine game

  • the doomguy will get his revenge for his pet rabbit daisy!!!

  • y do they call it spider mastermind when it has 4 legs and not 8

  • It's so badass that it ate it's other 4 legs.

  • i believe its "spiderdemon"and also.. its called the spider msatermind.

  • and i believe it's called spider mastermind not spider msatermind

  • oh for gods sake i made a god damn typo get over it you faggot.

  • Irony in its finest form. Hey Mr. GrammarNazi, why don't you check your own shit before criticizing another user's punctuation.

  • Why don't we all just set this arguement to rest. We came to see a Spider Mastermind get it's brain blown into a gory demise, not correct grammar.

  • its more of a lol moment than creepy.

  • ... what's with the rabbit? it's not that creepy, why did he go for that one and not the other? is it his food? how does that... why?

  • The rabbit is the Doomguy's pet bunny, Daisy.

  • @MTHERULERMAN Too many question *Gets out BFG 9000* Fuck off

  • man i 4got about the endig the rabbit thing still creeps me out and i guess thats how doom 2 started =)

  • I can't lose the fear I have of this game... Altough old, this is too damn scary!

  • i played this when i was 9

    and bambi scared me most

    and i´m still scared!!

  • my first time i was 5 years old :P

and why bambi??? its a rabbit....>>

    but its still freaky

  • i was when i first played it too and now im 14 and for 9 that image has been faintly burnt in my head :P

  • haha same (sort off :P)

  • Lol why that image, why the not whole game. The whole hell on Earth theme scared the living shit out of me as a teenager.

  • @schnarchnase1987 thats not a bambi its a bunny

  • @schnarchnase1987 who is bambi?

  • bunny rabbit!!!

  • "You have proven too tough for hell to contain"

    thats what i call BADASS!

  • Too bad for daisy the rabbit.

  • it was so obvious when a boss would come, u enter a HUGE room with a button or something in the middle, click the button, out comes boss. I LOVE IT ^^

  • classic! loved doom2...ahhh..its been almost 15 years later..its been a blink of an eye!

  • ok there is still one part i dont get after you beat the spider master. if the demons came to eath why the hell is there a rabbit at 2:07

  • haha that was awesome

  • hmmm....the cyberdemon is stronger than the spidermastermind...so y dont they switch places

  • lol dead bunny XD

  • I don't have to use DOSbox for some reason, I have XP, but lemmings, doom I and II, Duke nukem, Quake. They all work :D awesome video though.

  • Same here man XD

  • dude i have vista and i can play those games

  • That makes no sense, considering that Vista is an entirely different kernel...

  • Uhh its called zdoom ...

  • What? He never said that he used it, I'm supposed to assume he used a port. Shut up.

  • actually correct me if I'm wrong but Vista was made around 2007 right? well the zdoom download which has all 4 episodes of the first doom and doom 2 at least the one I downloaded was made around 2007 sooo yaaa I think it should be compatible with Vista

  • I didn't say it wasn't. Ugh, the start of this conversation was me saying I have always been able to run doom without anything like DOSbox or zdoom. Then someone said it about Vista, I said it wasn't possible because Vista has an entirely different kernel. God damn.

  • Man I wish I could use my SoundBlaster card on this but my game only let's me use the Roland LAPC-I card.

  • ROFL at 00:19 ur about ooooh 3 miles from the target and u use a shotty. i always do that myself. thats alot for posting. =]

  • You can't be serious.

  • it's a bit sad that the DOSBox adlib/soundblaster FM synth emulation for the music isn't very good.

The music on a real OPL2/3 adlib or soundblaster soundcard, with the real Yamaha chip in it ... it's just fantastic.

  • Very interesting. Do you have any references for this?

  • Well, not really, if you get your hands on an old 1992 soundblaster card you'll certainly hear a huge difference.

The Adlib and Soundblaster used a real FM synthesizer chip, similar to the one in SEGA's Genesis console, and while instruments sound nothing close to realistic they had a very "fat" synthesizer sound to them, the emulation in DosBox sounds very flat and "simple" to me. If I get one of my old soundblaster cards to work on my DOS machine I might be able to make a recording of it.

  • the difference is most obvious on low bass tones, which sounds very lo-fi and 'crackly' (that isn't a word, I know) in the emulation, but the synthesizer chip could play quite low tones.

  • Well, unfortunately I'm not about to get my hands on such a soundblaster card.

However, in case you decide to record it I'd be glad to be notified about it.

    And thanks for the information.

  • I think I recorded the intro music for Populous on to a tape in the 90's, if I can find it I might be able to at least make a comparison of the emulation and the real thing, but I never recorded the Doom music sadly. I'll look around if I can find either my old sound cards or cassette tapes.

  • I have a Windows 98 my dad biult me and it has a SoundBlaster Live Card so I don't need DOSBox, I can run Wolfenstein 3D, Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Hack with SoundBlaster sound. My laptop has a SB Pro 2 card but I need more memory for the card to work.

  • Actually, I think I'll have to retract my claim. The Dosbox Adlib emulation has gotten pretty damn good now, I just did a comparison between the real oplr2 and the dosbox emulation with the game F29: Retaliator, and they actually did sound almost exactly the same, just a very slight difference in very high bell type sounds and low percussion sounds, but the difference is so small that you can't really hear it until you play both at the same time. I was really surprised to find that out.

  • i love that lvl but its so fuckin ez just run up to strait to it and blast the bfg like 2 times or sometimes 3 waay ezier then the cyberdemon

  • hi nice video, where can i download free the first doom ( the 3 episodes)?

  • you can only download the shareware version for free. The full one can be found on idsoftware . com.

  • Yes, this music work is terrific. I like it too.

I used to think that it was a long necked deer...

  • doom for pc has 4 EPISODES meaning that wah the did you emulate? ive never seen this before.... always 4 episodes on pc...

  • Not exactly. The first DOOM (1993) included 3 episode. Two years later (1995) "The Ultimate DOOM" was published, and included the fourth episode, added to the original three.

This video is from the first game.

  • Well, I will post the fourth episode's ending :)
