  • Gordo dedicate a otra cosa!!!!.

  • I must say,you are very impressive!I practice Isshinryu karate in which I am a brown belt.I am looking to create my very own kata using a katana and I stumbled upon your video seeing if I could learn a few things. You have truly inspired me,thank you so much for the video!May God bless you greatly!

  • @shadowcous glad you enjoy it

  • @MOUNTAINOUS Thanks.

  • where do u studied martial art!!! amazing ahahhahaha

  • @alexdimartini read my channel page it tells it all. also i have hundreds of vids like this but fighting others and in armors on horses etc. go see my page

  • my apologies, i take back my previous statement. good job

  • @mudbogz71 no problem. i get a million comments of people seeing me in armor and they say. to bad you cant do it on a horse. then i say see this and i send them vids of me on horses in the mts in armor. i feel if most youtube think and THEN GO TO THE GUYS ACCT. AND SEE NEWER VIDS. it would answer half the kids questions. they see my airsoft vids and say. to bad your guns are not real. then i send them vids of me with real ak47s. lol. peace.

  • Where do you teach at???? Can you please teach me your 125 style kenjutsu?

  • your style of kenjutsu is a very interesting one. the major thing that strikes me as funny or off is your stance, but I think that's only because of your long legs... that's pretty nice that you are able to incorporate your own style into your kenjutsu, I kind of wish I could do that.

  • Ha I remember where that music is from now its pretty good for one dollar. I bought three other ones after hearing this song on zen garden.

  • David Carradine was much better and he was an actor

  • @martbo ya but david carradine dont use ak47s like me in the mt in vid 164 now does he. you can call me rambo

  • @MOUNTAINOUS SO HARDCORE!

  • i will agree this is much better definitly on the draw and return your stance still looks a little wide but then again you are long legged so it may just look that way. oh i myself have perfected a battojutsu from behind the back its unorthodox but a trained warrior would never see it or the secondary strike comeing i am self disciplined in the sword arts haveing done much research of coarse i just never seemed to find a dojo fitting enough i also retract my previous statement

  • @ruku871 i teach that behind the back draw in one of my vids and explain it and i can leap sideways yoko tobi is the japanese name for it and do the draw while moving behind the back. i learned it in a seminar in the bujinkan in 1997 in illinois daikomiyosai seminar. with shidoshi rick spangler currently 10th dan in the bujinkan hiken dojo

  • @MOUNTAINOUS thats why i said i never found a dojo that suited me i have earned the respect of a few near where i live and one of them wanted to pick me up as a free student for competitions but eh. i also seem to have an ability to see a technique preformed and have it mastered in 3 to 5 minutes honestly no lie my old sparring partner and i were watching a martial arts documentary i saw one person do 2 simultanious spin kicks i got up started tryin and was able to preform in one minute

  • pretty cool vids...i admire your passion for this

  • what is the name of the song

on here its amazing ps what some basics i should go throught

  • @symphonicpoi it is a one dollar cd from the dollar store called zen garden. what do you want to learn. basic of sword. or unarmed fighting or ninja skills. be more specific and i can help. i have basic sword vids on stances. and also one names for every cut and how to draw katana and ninja to from the back. let me know. and i will send you a vid teaching you how to practice it. ok

  • you're so lucky to live around there...

have all the space to practice etc.

  • if anyone knows where to get those type of clothes i would greatly appreciate it

  • One day, I hope to train with you at Mt. Hood.

    Arigato-Gozaiemas.

  • very nice music super.

  • 0.0 and careful with that wakazashi! That's how I lost part of my hand! Keep up the flute work your making great progress for as long as you've been playing it! ^-^ Hassai used to play something like that... sounded like wind blowing through reeds though. Keep it up! =)

  • this flute playing is horrible. if you go to my new vid of battojutsu i play the flute much better now. but still not real good. but i do more sword and better than this. i still will do a bunch on reverse draws to reverse cuts holding the tsuka with a reverse grip and doing one handed and two handed cuts. take care. i did a indoor shakuhachi and outdoor cutting vid that is around the battojutsu vid time frame and it is alot of fun with mutliple targets and spinning cuts

  • Wow, much better than your previous episodes! What I'd really like to see is some speed drawing techniques of yours... My sensei Hassai (daibutsu rest his soul) died before getting me too far into what he called "nipponjonotaijutsu" and I still don't know what jono means... I don't think it's spelled right... Anywho all he had taught me was sprints, multiple targets, and speed drawing really... Just wanted to see something I could use to analyze my own kata with. Keep up the good work!

  • good form~ ^.^

  • I don't wish to train in the way of the ninja, but in the way of the samurai, but it's great finding someone who loves both!! One of my good friends likes both too. NICE VIDEO! Aw man I really wanna learn kenjutsu but sadly there's no kenjutsu dojo where I live (in UT) I don't think.

  • if u can find another person to practice with then go for it~ but be careful. before i started in a dojo, me and my brother bought some kendo gear and started particing by ourselves and created some randy techniques haha!

  • Wow, that lakeside training is so amazing. I was able to train beside the ocean on Maui recently.

  • another great vid man, place your training at looks like heaven on earth, this has re-inspired me to really go after my Kenjutsu training again.

  • learned from a video? learned from the "style"? sure i cant talk good english but i come from a other country then you

remember you can copy the steps but not the feeling or other things who you need for a honourable sword

  • i have captured the warrior spirit. one cannot feel it if one is not in nature all the time. you cant get it from a inside dojo. it has to come from nature. i study the art of the ninja. which entales the sword. but the wold basis of ninjutsu is the godai. or earth element training. one can not feel and understand godai if one does not drown themselves in nature the way i do. and meditation and my shakuhachi flute. i think i got it figured out. it is what works for the individual. this works

  • you will lead a sword?!

no samurai touch on the back of his sword or on the hammon

and before you try to flame me i do 8 years shinkendo and i know what i do and what i say about that

  • I think Jason is thinking more like ninja. From my knowledge and observations, the ninja didn't "worship" their weapon compared to the samurai. They didn't care to much about corrosion or what not...besides, we all know rust is a natural poison. I have a question for you. How do you sheath the blade without guiding it with the hand? I'm not questioning your skill or knowledge, I'm just curious to how a Shinkendo ka would do it. Thank you.

  • wow wonderful video, this is a fantastic place to train jason. Excellent sword cuts, and practice. You are looking better than ever bro. Wow Dual swords now there we go. Keep up the good work and playing your shakuachi brother.

  • great practice session out by the water. I liked the draw that you did at around 3:45 in the vid. The white top and black pants is a great look for video productions.

  • Wow. This re-inspired me to focus on my kenjutsu again. Oh and nice Shakuhachi. I reccomend watching Tomoca Nagasu from Rin'. She is very good at Shakuhachi, Biwa, and singing.

  • cool you have you own kenjutsu style... when i'm very high karate... i'm gonna make own karate style i think....

  • Another 5*

  • i wish i a lake to train by with open space, that place looks so relaxing with no one around

  • cool

  • dude if we use our time wisely we can train at all the spots in 2 days easy. it will be intense. we should try to cam in a bit. i will be on offline

  • i am playing even a ton better than this now. i cant wait to make a shakuhachi vid indoor just by armor sitting there playing. nice short vid. this weekend i will do one showing my progression after a week of the flute. thanks for the comment bro

  • Do you reside in oregon? I live quite close and that area is very nice, especially for training.

  • i live on mt hood at 4000 feet in the village of government camp. go to my channel i make tons of snowboarding vids since i work for timberline. and all my vids are at trillium lake or zig zag waterfall or road 39 river. etc. etc. i ride horses in full samurai armor in the mountains. i have 125 of these training vids and the rest are bmx and snowboarding. .

  • Nice, bro. Love the flutework, too. I need to learn a traditional instrument. I've been thinking about shamisen.

Ever thought of getting a shikomizue made?

  • i will make a flute vid of how i play it now. since this even i am doing way better now. walking around playing not missing a note and just better. i cant put the flute down. what is a shikomizue? i probably know it but not by the name. take care

  • awesume vid man thanks for sharing, already pretty good with that flute! now i want one lol Take care Jason 5 stars!

  • thanks. i am even doing better with it today. more notes and using all fingers. i cant put the thing down. it is so fun. take care man

  • i really like your chiburi and your videos, I'll stay tuned for more :)

  • Same, I'd love to learn how to us a Katana! Sorry, I forget the name of the Martial art. The samurai is my favorit warrior/fighting style ever!

  • oh no i meant like a dojo. i need someone to teach me how to properly wield a sword and stuff, i can practice in my yard.

  • thanks. ya i have mixed ryuha and my own stuff and have my own style. if i had a former sword school i would just do that. but my ninja former training is not like iaijutsu. it is not really a art so much. it is combat and kill but i love the beauty and feel of iaijutsu so i came up with all the things i learn from all vids, my old class stuff, my kameas from bujinkan and made my own stuff. it is fun. sword is so fun.

  • you got hang that big wind flute lololo all right like alway good video and swordmenship

  • Awesome Jason! The flute is comming along well.

  • beautiful clip and great work.. I'm very pleased to have you as a member in the Kamiyama Dojo and ranked as a shodan.. good luck.. as always.. keep going.

  • thanks ralph. and i am honored to be in your group.

  • i gotta get somewhere where i can get some training.

  • if you are new to my channel my last 20 or so vids are all very much like this but different weapons or training and all at different spots. either huge river. or lake. or mt glacier. or giant waterfall. look around my channel if you havent. take care

  • great vid bro. 5 stars

  • This is what I've gathered from a samurai video and I'm no expert, but on that it was called "Noto" and is performed after any technique before sheathing the sword the knock blood from the sword. Traditionally you weren't meant to draw and re-sheathe a samurai sword before drawing blood. Is that a good explanation?

  • the knocking of the blade is called chiburi. pretty close. take care and check out my channel if you havent. i ride horses in real samurai armor in the mountains in vid 115

  • Oh yea thanks, and I've already subscribed.

  • "Chiburi" is the removal of gore, and "Noto" is the actual resheathing.

As for the drawing blood thing, that's just a wives tale.

  • you are skilled with the katana ;)

Why the push on the blade? like 4:12 :)

  • i didnt push it. i flip the sword in my hand and hit the handle tsuka to do what is called chiburi. it is symbolic to remove the blood from the blade

  • nice video love it,you're really good with sword, btw I wanna ask you, isn't it bit boring practice most of the time just by yourself???

  • my thoughts exatcly, it could be nice with a video containing a 2 person bokken match or simply practice :)

  • i have 6 or so vids with me and another training. both of us in full real armor. and real sword vs hand claws. and tons on throws and grappling.

  • i have 6 vids with me and a buddy in full armor and several with dan from sacred fire and also some other ones doing taijutsu with doctor todd. and no i love being alone at my house and training. i am 36 and always lived in big cities and college towns. and had tons of friends. now i am on a mt and i love the tranquility and peace of being alone in nature. no one is evil or trying to be cool or lying or whatever. when you are alone in nature there is no evil in the world. just you and sword. lol

  • oh yeah I have seen all these videos before,,,well I guess you're right,it maybe is better be alone, sometimes,I like to be alone, but I hate to practice just by myself

  • The flute sound you make are really good

  • very nice jason

  • beautiful

  • Beautiful sword vid, Lake Mt. Hood is just serene.

You got the vibrato down, very good for 3days practice. 5/5

  • Hello Jason, Good to see your training in the sword.I also are working on sword part 2. Thank you for this video.
