  • betty is sexy as hell.....as well as a great cook. but damn sexy lol

  • What is your secret to cooking the bacon for this recipe? I notieced it didn't shrink much and was the perfect amount of crispiness. I call bacon meat candy..lol

By the way used your recipe and added hot dogs wow was it great, even had the next day for breakfast, first time for that.

  • @KissHope Thanks for your great feedback on the baked beans. I have a video on "Baked Bacon and Scrambled Eggs" that shows how I make my bacon. It's always delicious and looks pretty.

  • @bettyskitchen How does it taste?

  • @animalcrossing101000 Great! This is my favorite type of baked beans!

  • I don't even like beans and this sounds yummy. Thanks Betty!

  • I use a1 lb. of bacon and more brown sugar and I mix it all up and then I bake for 45 minutes. It is really delicious..

  • I just did your receipt for a Sunday BBQ. It was the bomb. Man, I loved it and the guest. Thank you. I will be looking at your pecan pie video next!

  • @henrypittman Thanks for your wonderful feedback! I really appreciate it!

  • I love you. Let's run away together. Wiz zese baked beans you are spoiling us...

  • The old stand by....nice recipe! By the way as Rocky Balboa would say...." Yo Betty your lookin' very great " in this video. lol.

  • Betty, why do you add sugar to the beans?

  • It is brown sugar, and it gives the beans a special flavor. Leave it out, if you're watching calories, but it the taste is so much better with it! Some people use molasses, or other sweetener to give baked beans their special taste! Thanks for commenting!

  • I put brown sugar, chopped green onions, and pineapple....yummy!!!!

  • That sounds great! I will try that combination next time! Thanks for the tip!

  • If I go to a pot luck or picnic, I usually take this and the dish is totally empty when I bring it home! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  • @stellaluna4u2 This is a great dish for pot lucks! Thanks for your nice comment!

  • I make bake beans similar to this but I like to add green peppers diced and chopped onions and saute them both in a little oil. Then this goes in with the rest of ingredients and bake the same way you do. Love your videos!

  • The green peppers are a great idea! Just the perfect complement to all the other flavors! Thanks for the great tip and for your lovely comment!

  • Its just so convenient to do the bacon that way, less expensive to buy than the precooked bacon in the store..all u do is take out what u need for breakfast or a recipe & nuke it 1 min in microwave...i use only1 tsp of the saved refrigerated jar of bacon fat to season anything, mixing w/reg oil if i need more oil..this keeps cholesterol at a minimum but u still get the rich flavor only bacon can give to a dish..when cooled just roll up the foil & toss in trash! pan is nice & clean..

  • I agree with you completely! I love bacon, but it can be so messy that I would skip it, if I did not keep it partially baked (in the freezer) all the time! It's *really* convenient when I have unexpected overnight guests, because the rest of the breakfast is quick and easy--and the bacon can be, too! Thanks for commenting, Angie!

  • Im like u Betty, I dont like those pieces of soggy fat floating on top of the beans & I remove it too..tastes nasty..also a little quick tip on bacon..I buy & bake the whole 1lbs pkg on a jelly roll pan lined w/heavy duty foil & place each strip on there & bake in the oven until crisp & done..draining off all the bacon grease in a jar & keep in the fridge for seasoning veggies or whatever..I place the crisp bacon in zip lock baggies in fridge/freezer til needed..saves on mess, cleans up easy!

  • I do almost the same thing! One of my breakfasts is Betty's Baked Bacon and Scrambled Eggs. That's where I demonstrate my method of storing partially cooked bacon!

  • hey when we bake bacon do we have to cover them in oil? or not? thanks!!

  • No--not necessary at all!! Thanks for asking!

    --Betty :)
