Kudos to President Kagame and his fellow countrymen!
It seems that some people are jealous of the positive direction that rwandans have taken but nothing is gonna distruct these beautiful people ever again.
If you are a tutsi, you need to realize that KAGAME is not GOOD for you, he never has been. he continued to put tutsis people lives in danger by creating more enemies. To me, it is crazy when tutsis think that he is their hero. If you love your people you will sacrifice power and negotiate for peace, stability and security of your people. Today tutsis are more in danger than they were, because of KAGAME's behaviors.
Only a few extremists, who continue to harbour the ideology of genocide remain in the neighbouring countries. Unless there is a concerted effort by the international community to deal with these genocidaires, they will remain a potential threat to peace and stability in Rwanda and in the whole region of the Great Lakes. (Another excuse to keep invading the DRC)
its irrelevant to concern yourself with the troubles of external powers whilst the true oppressive regime rules in your own land. The FDLR is a true threat, yes, but Kagame is first and foremost like Idi Amin Dada said is willing to milk the cow but is not willing to feed it. the country's funds are equivalent to his personal purse coupled with his maintenance of his position through force and corruption. understand this
But isn't the FDLR a "true threat", because Kagame also forces them to be that way?
Many of them know that a return to Rwanda would subject them to false allegations and condemnations, force them to surrender all rights silently or be silenced for good. When the FDLR expressed willingness to convert into a political party and support democracy in Rwanda, Kagame refused. The main hindrance to peace is not the FDLR, but Kagame who refuses to allow any sincere political opposition.
We have embarked on what we consider to be an irreversible course of unity and reconciliation, while at the same time we seek to bring to justice the perpetrators of genocide (a.k.a continue to illigally extract congolese resources, the fighting between Ugandan and Rwandan armies in the mineral rich Katanga region is STRONG evidence of this).
The people of Rwanda ( a.k.a the RPF leadership) ratified a new constitution by more than 90% after broad based countrywide (coersed) consultations. This constitution enshrines a culture of inclusive and democratic politics, and entitles every Rwandan (within the ruling elite) to have a stake in how the country is governed. They were given a chance last year to exercise this right, when they (s)elected a Parliament and a President of their choice.
The Rwandese leadership has played a major role in Mr Kabila's rise (in theDRC). Some People in the Pentagon and at the American Embassy in Kigali describe Mr Paul Kegame as a 'visionary'.
We (US Corpratist Elite) are convinced that the free market system is the way to go because it will create a middle class that would serve as the "anchor" of the whole society in countries where the political situation may be volatile. Public unilateral aid is just one of many tools necessary to foster development. In our view, the key to development in Africa is the liberalisation of the power to purchase, work, invest and trade.
Paul Kagame is the west's man. He shot down the presidents of Rwanda and Burundi with a western missile. He was trained at Ft. Benning, GA (School Of The Americas) and Ft. Huachuca, NM (US Military Intelligence HQ).
The official language in Rwanda used to be French. Now it is English. Get the picture?
Kagame's 'mini-me' Nkunda has been recalled.
Follow the money. Who owns the concessions, and who are they close with politically?
@tigerone1970 smart!! except: hutu/tutsi stuff is not nonsense....its the most efficient way for the west to remotedly control the area and ensure chaos, that way its easier to extract the minerals while multi military and un-coordinated forces are fighting against each other than negotiating a fair deal with a democratically elected leaderships.Imagine a stable Congo! Do you think the west is willing to renogotiating all deals with coltan, diamonds, oil, gold, uranium, etc fairly? Crafty!!
It's ridiculous that some of your comments are based to racist opinions like saying that Rwanda was a hutu's land , how can u tell this! I want to let u know that this man Kagame is one of the best leaaders in Africa ever!! he's a man of action , he get things done! Keep represent Africa and Rwanda Mr President
muumamdu , ur a usless human being... RWANDA was a hutut land but when we TUTSI migrated from somalia 400 years ago, it become ours after the our hero KAGAME took powe...so u either leave rwanda if u don't like him or u look for me and i will make sure u do myself... u don't deserve to live in our new TUTSI Land
The CIA is always involved in starting these wars. And who's supplying the guns? The target is raw materials at low low prices. Can you go lower than slaves who mine coltan in the Congo for our multinational corps so that we can buy $399 laptops? Or slaves that dig for blood diamond? Or slaves/child labor that produce 80% of the world's cocoa in the Ivory Coast area? Check out John Perkins here on you-tube.
Kagame should be arrested and tried for crimes against humanity and the U.S. should stop using Rwanda, and Kagame, to wage war on neighboring D.R. Congo and thus control its vast, and "geostrategic" mineral resources. Geostrategic in that they are essential to the ability of the military industrial complex to manufacture for war.
And is that surprising? The hutu's were oppressing his people, and then the genocide occurred. Hutus wiped out a large part of their population via brutal genocide.
When tutsis came back to power, nothing like the genocide of the Hutu's occurred. Some natural revenge killings, but nothing like the massive barbaric acts in Rwanda during the genocide.
you people, specially Hutu, how long time, and how manny times do u want to kill. U have killed since 1957, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1973. Who is ruling Rwanda, is it not hutu people. clean ur dirty hands and join us, to develop african continent, if u start a new killings, u will be the one who will loose, just wait, agapfa kaburiwe ni impongo.
I like the determination of rwandans!
