its dead but its nerves are still going causing it to kick around. turkeys do this as well. hit them with a shot gun there kicking and flopping all over the place but there neck and head are shattereed and destroyed by hindreds of bbs. i shot a squirrel perfect in the head and it did this. i also thought it was alive after i shot it 3 more times in the head and it was still doing this i realized its just the nerves
