I liked the montage, it highlighted Sephiroth in all his glory in the game. One complaint sorry to say, this had absolutely NOTHING to do with Ehrgeiz.
It does indirectly. You just have to dig in deeper. We did learn that the sword "Ehrgeiz" will make one as strong as or stronger than a God. So... when Sephiroth got his hands on the sword, he gets visions of events that will happen once he gets to his own game world, none other than Final Fantasy VII and he seemed ready of course but he of course didn't know anything about his eventual death by Cloud.
Once again, it is indirectly linked. After all, this is a Crossover to me.

Just because all of the scenes are from FF7 doesn't mean you don't unlock this ending on Ehrgeiz.
