Hi,  is it possible that the gesso can crack with time on canvas?

Wow - great question - I have pieces that are still holding strong after 10 years so I can't comment on longer time frames. The texture is done with modeling paste and the gesso is thinned and in this circumstance used to create a coherent surface otherwise it can be difficult to get the paint to be consistent. across the whole canvas. Love to hear your experience.

There is something about matte finishes that really appeal to me plus I work in fluid acrylic. I like how it goes on gessoed canvas and also on raw canvas.
