I absolutely hate arcade style shooters, but this is like a breath of fresh air for me, it's like playing through a movie.. Provided that's it's wii graphics but still pretty good nonetheless
This is actually a good game to be honest, the gameplays weak sure but all in all story, characters, and the aiming system is actually pretty good especially since you need strategy and good timing to be the game lol XD not to mention TONS of fucking ammo but thats besides the point it's actually a good game I'm not complaining I beat it in 2 days :3 I recommend it to anyone who likes arcade style shooters xD

There's nothing wrong with dead space extraction on the Wii. There's nothing wrong with the Wii for that matter. I love rail shooters and this game is alot of fun. I own Dead Space on 360 and love it. I own extraction and enjoy it alot. It simply expands on the dead space universe, that's all I care about - not this petty graphical letdown bullshit, besides the graphics look good for a Wii game. I hear ya, I just saw it advertised today for the Wii, and I thought it would be out for for every other console including PC, but WTF are they thinking, developing a huge fan base for the game on Xbox and moving over to the Wii for the next game. This leaves me thinking its either going to suck or they are trying to get the fans to buy a Wii, which, sadly most of us diehard fans of Dead Space are going to have to now consider. Sounds like Super Smash Bros. Creators make a new story for the series and the players have to buy a new system. Hopefully, if Dead Space Extraction has anything like SSB, it should be months and years of entertainment.
Well, Smash Bros started on Nintendo 64. It then moved onto Smash Bros Melee, but it was created for the Gamecube. So, if the fans of the first Smash Bros wanted more action they would have to buy another system. So like Dead Space the first game was made for PC, PS3, and XBox360. But then the prequel comes out and the only way to get this next adventure is to buy another system. That is how it is similar. Sounds like a promotional tie-in between Nintendo and the Dead Space creators.
Well the big fans of Smash Bros would have been Nintendo fans and would likely have had a Gamecube at that point anyway. As far as I remember that WAS a good ways into the GC's lifespan and the N64 was long dead. Same with Brawl, it just wouldn't make sense to keep the series on a dead platform when there's much better resources. And Visceral probably decided early on that on-rails better suited the fashion in which they wanted to portray the story, which would be dumbed-down by dual-analog.
Good point. But though a on-rail game with a controller that points at the screen is good, I am sure having it on the X Box360, PS3, or PC would not be so bad. House of the Dead 2 was not terrible and it was on Dreamcast; which you could use the controller and it would be still be enjoyed.

Regardless on if its a prequel or not, its pretty stupid. The game's genre is "Survival-Horror" not "Just walk around and shoot things". The fear in the game came from not knowing was around the next corner (Horror) and having to run away if you couldn't fight it (survival). At this point it becomes boring and unimaginitive.
it is survival horrow, between having to weld barricades shut w/ the plasma cutter while fighting necromorphs w/ limited ammo, this is harder then the first one, where as u had enough bullets to paint the ship and then still have some to beat the game =/
well this one is just a rail shooter. if you don't know what that is (not trying to sound like a douche there... seriously) it's like in house of the dead when the game takes you to a certain screen and enemies come at you and you have to shoot them before they get to the front of the screen. you see them a lot in arcades with the plastic gun.
the annoying thing is they may have actually recieved more money just getting this sequel to the game and releasing it on one of those arcade boxes (hell i'd play this instead of "time crisis three"!).
well you have to remember that acrades across america are dying out, I can't think of one where I live except for the kids places like chuck E. Cheeses so putting it in an arcade might not be the best idea, however I agree I would rather play this than TC three also.

Yes unfortunately a lot of people complains about graphics 'cause they compare it to the original Dead Space in HD; It doesn't matter if Wii doesn't get that high. As long as you have a good new TV, and use AV component cables for the best graphics Wii can deal, i'm pretty sure you will enjoy the game without regrets, 'cause its graphics looks pretty realistic, and that's the point in a horror game to make you scream all around your dark room swinging the wiimote!
yeah great game but i think it will be weird and funny to play on Wii because the games on this console need "movement" of your body and sometimes you get stunned (or scared) and it's harder to control...but it's a lot of fun!
well its going to be great either way...for example...on this game your forced to walk into some scary part were other games you can just sit there for five hours or your able to just skip it.

Some of you people on here are just mad b/c the wii only holds 512 MB of memory (about half of a gig) and ive held about 50 games on my wii which is only about half of the memory space used.....If nintendo felt like it, they could own the 360 and PS3's graphics.......I STILL LIKE THE 360 THOUGH.....ps3 can choke on a big one haha

Nintendo I think is trying to broaden their horizons and get a wider variety of games, which is good. A good console is one that has great family and mature games, because it provides for all your gaming needs rather than having one perticular genre. Not to mention complaints about this game being on a family console are rediculous. If you don't like the gore just don't buy the game, because people besides you might want to play mature games on a system with unique controls.

I'm in my 30s with decent income, just want to explain that I can affords multiple console, but I don't buy XBOX &PS3. not because I'm not gamer. I'm playing game since ATARI 8 bit til ps2 then I start playing pc games...that's the end of console for me.
I just getting bored with the same old shits over and over again with an update on graphic. i.e. final fantasy
I know wii graphic suck but it offer me the totally new gaming experience I would rather watch movie for purely visual experience

The Wii's graphics are the same as Intel's current integrated graphics.
It can still process shaders and stuff but its fucking bullshit for 2007 when it cost almost the price of a Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle at the time.

Yes, im so glad wii has wifi. Nothing tops spending 20 minutes entering a friend code, and then sending text messages to try and arrange a game. Its so awesome! Yes unfortunately a lot of people complains about graphics 'cause they compare it to the original Dead Space in HD; It doesn't matter if Wii doesn't get that high. As long as you have a good new TV, and use AV component cables for the best graphics Wii can deal, i'm pretty sure you will enjoy the game without regrets, 'cause its graphics looks pretty realistic, and that's the point in a horror game to make you scream all around your dark room swinging the wiimote!

yeah great game but i think it will be weird and funny to play on Wii because the games on this console need "movement" of your body and sometimes you get stunned (or scared) and it's harder to control...but it's a lot of fun!

Some of you people on here are just mad b/c the wii only holds 512 MB of memory (about half of a gig) and ive held about 50 games on my wii which is only about half of the memory space used.....If nintendo felt like it, they could own the 360 and PS3's graphics.......I STILL LIKE THE 360 THOUGH.....ps3 can choke on a big one haha

Nintendo I think is trying to broaden their horizons and get a wider variety of games, which is good. A good console is one that has great family and mature games, because it provides for all your gaming needs rather than having one perticular genre. Not to mention complaints about this game being on a family console are rediculous. If you don't like the gore just don't buy the game, because people besides you might want to play mature games on a system with unique controls.
