On the WOSU signoff montage, I grew up with its logo at 0:08. Of course, our cable company in Dayton, OH had to delete that PBS station from their lineup in the late 1980's...

The only thing that would've made this better was if they played their old signoff film (with "Carmen Ohio" playing) either just before or just after this montage...

That particular sign-off (and sign-on, too) and the first four logos of this montage (0:01-0:08) were a big part of my childhood when I watched WOSU.

Now if only WOSU had a time capsule to store all these logos and continuity in...

Now this is how you end your analog signal! All Milwaukee's major networks ended there transmitions the same way. One ended it with the gentleman that turned the switch on to turn it off! Our channel 10 & 36 aired the very first transmition fallowed a cool montage like this with the national anthem. Thanks for posting this! Unlike some stations that just flipped the switch, like saying we could care less.

I enjoyed this video, and wanted to track it down again for an encore; but it was hard to find. The search engine could trace the video more easily if you were to use more keywords for the "Tags" line. In this case, "WOSU," "Columbus," and "analog" would be fitting here, as well as "Signoff."
